I haven't talked to anybody that had in Ohio but I'm sure there had to have been some strays caught. Seems sombody always finds a stray King or coho. What I've been waiting for is some pinks! About 4-6 yrs ago they got a couple runs(everyother year like pinks will do). Then nothing since. They're not very big but I'd love to catch a nice hook jawed humpbacked pink.

I haven't heard of any pinks caught in a few years. I'd imagine them to be quite rare anymore since they haven't been stocked in a long time. I don't even know anyone who caught a coho this year. Cohos were stocked longer than the pinks and I usually talk to, or at least hear of a few people who have caught them. Even if cohos are caught though, I suspect many people cannot tell the difference between them and a steelhead.

Not according to the New York dept of Environmental resources stocking charts. If it does happen it is from private resources.

the last few years i have put a few salmon on the bank in erie tribs.they all have been in the 10 to 14 lb ranch, some being males and some being females. The year before last i saw a few pinks but none last fall.Seems like i always hear of one near 20 lbs everyyear being caught.Last fall the only one i got was spawned out and decaying already(way upstream from the lake)

I wasn't lucky enough to see them but there were enough it did make the paper. They were showing up in the Chagrin and Arcola Creek if I remember correctly.
