Just a reminder to those of you who are planning on shooting..You need to get your money in the mail in time to reach us before the 6th if you want to be pre-registered and save the $10 extra bucks..If you mail it and it dosen't get to us in time we are going to ask you to pay the $35 the day of the tournament and we will return your check. We need your money so that we will have all the prize money to pay out to the winners..If you are planning on just showing up to shoot you will need to bring $$$$CASH$$$$ to cover your entry fee....Thanks and we are looking forward to seeing all of you there!!!!!!!!!!

we have 5 teams signed up right now B. this is just like last year. everyone wait s till the last minute. it really helps if we kind of have an idea of how many people are coming so we can organize the prizes ...... we have got a bunch of stuff donated to us so far and hope we have people there to shoot and claim the stuff!!!!! guys lets get the entries in here. last year we had people showing up the day of the shoot saying they sent the entry in . and we had not got them. this year if your entry is not received before the shoot you will have to pay the 10 dollars extra. we were to lenient with this policy last year and will not be this year. everyone seems to sit back and wait and see if the weather is going to be good before they send their entry in. well i know i plan on shooting no matter what the weather and everyone will be shooting in the same weather ....it just makes it difficult to plan when you have no clue how many will show up. that is why we had everyone haul their own fish away last year .we did not want to spend a couple hundred dollars for someone to take them if nooone showed up. alot of money gets spent on postage and prizes. on top of what is donated. postage alone for flyers this year was nearly 100 bucks. so lets get moving and get your entry in. i want to remind everyone that every team that truned in fish last year went home with something

Unfortunately, I'll probably be one of the guys paying on the day of the tourney if I can do it. But I WON"T get there and tell you I sent in my payment.

The only reason for this is I don't think I'm going to have access to a boat, so I'm gonna have to shoot the river. BUT I won't know if I CAN shoot the river 'till 3 days prior to the tourney. Otherwise, you'd have my money by now. Hopefully we get a good turnout like last year.

Oh yeah, good luck to you and Jake at Caseville.

When sponsoring a tournament of any kind you need set rules that all must follow. Have a deadline date that entries can be recieved by mail, state that on signup day at tournament there will a an added surcharge for registering late. That way the participants know in advance what's expected in the signup process. Also state that the tournament will be held rain or shine unless weather conditions prohibit otherwise. It will help take alot of the guesswork out of preparing for it, I know sometimes that's not possible but better preparation means a tournament held in a professional manner which in fact helps promote the sport of choosing.

we do have all of that thank you??? but you know how people are, they just cant seem to follow directions??? for our first year last year we had 19 teams which for ohio and being a bowfishing tourney was pretty darn good. everything we did i think went real well and was as professional as i think it could have been.i just know i contacted alot of people and got some real good sponsors such as muzzy ,cajun archery , shure shot fish points, ams retreiver reels, mudshark archery, tri loop arrow rests, and sullys bowfishing stuff. because of the great turnout last year we worked harder this year to get more stuff to give away. and my point of the whole post is that i hope we have as much interest as we did last year. it would be a shame if we did not have anyone to give all of the stuff to?? and look ma no hands if you have noone to shoot with place a couple of posts on here and over at mudshark and maybe you can hook up with someone?? tracy

Thanks Tracy. I think I'll post something on Mudshark. I have the feeling the few guys that are shooting it from here don't have room or aren't looking for anyone else. Even if that person(me) has extensive knowledge of East Harbor and Sandusky Bay.........if not I'll be humpin carp out of the Maumee. :(

Oh yeah-just so everyone knows, last years tourny was great. Can't get much more professional than what Mark and Tracy have arranged.

Last I knew he was going through a divorce. I haven't seen him ANYWHERE on the 'net. I wouldn't imagine the tourny would be a big priority right now. Hopefully he makes it through it OK.

Maybe he'll surprise ya and show up though.......:D

oooooooh....had the misfortune (or pleasure depending on how you look at it) of going thru the Big D a few years ago. not fun. Des, if you're reading this and you're in fact going thru the big D, hang tough bud! There's light at the end of the tunnel
