Bowfishing around Port Clinton area

I am going walleye fishing on Lake Erie this weekend.Our boat will be to big to bowfish from.Does anyone know of anyplace around the Port Clinton area we could bowfish from the bank?Are the carp coming to the backwaters yet?....Thank You...Joe
