Disappointing couple of days

Saw just one deer yesterday morning and one this morning. It was being chased but i couldent see the buck. Not sure whats up. Maybe this weather is too nice.

I hear that! Dead down here. Saw 4 does yesterday and 3 this morning. I put myself where they are to catch bucks chasing, and it turns out the deer here are asexual!!!

I saw 15 wednesday and been passing small bucks. I finally got my chance at a big boy this evening but my cam hit my stand during the shot and messed that chance up. Maybe tomorrow:)

I agree, thought this was going to be the weekend! Saw the same small buck, spike on one side, fork on the other, out of three different stands this weekend. It should be getting hot, I've saw at least 6 new scrapes and probably 15-20 new rubs in the past few days. I did kill a nice doe on Friday........that the little buck was chasing:yikes:

hang in there guys, i had hunted last weekend and only saw 2 small bucks all weekend. Monday morn i saw a small 6pt at about 8am and thought that it was going to be like the weekend and was ready to go home. I hung in there until 10am and all hell broke loose, it can happen at the drop of a hat, and just think if your not in the woods at the time it happens.

I have been hunting for 2 weeks and haven t seen nothing but 5 deer.Went to newcomerstown fri. sat in the tree for 9 hrs and nothing.I have been putting long hrs in the stand.Finally saw horns last night when i was ready to get down a small 6pt.The places i hunt are getting pounded by other hunters.I have seen more hunters then deer. So good luck to all and have fun,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm seeing deer,just nothing over 100 inches.11 deer yesterday,2 were small 8 pts.1 spike today.I promised the wife I would call it a day at 1 to spend alittle time at home.Back out tomorrow for another all dayer.

Nothing good this weekend in N. Ashtabula. I Jumped 1 walking out after I lost shooting light in the hard woods tonight. Diden't see anything else all weekend... I also thought the weather would work for me. Wind was doing the back wash thing as well. ...

Got out late Sat. about 8:30am Jumped one walking in he looked me for a good 5 minutes at 15 yards then wandered off. Little three point. Saw a total of 9 deer all Bucks but nothing bigger than a basket 8 point on Sat. Sun morning went out behind the house and watched 6 does at 75 yards milling around eating acorns. It was Good weekend but should be better this coming week. Even though none of the bucks I saw on Sat seemed to be chasing anything they all crossed a scrape line with a couple working a scrape, a good sign they are starting to look.

cjd3....i hunt ashtabula also ,and i have been hunting hard.I haven t seen nothing much yet either.What area are you hunting.
