Awsome hunt this morning (pics)

Well guy's it was a great morning to harvest a great 9pt and to think i almost didnt go. this guy came in chasing 3 does at 10 this morning but he had his eye on 1 that must have already come onto heat. I did not have to 2nd guess if he was a shooter. She almost took him back the way they came in and decided to go in a thicket on my right and then turned to come 10yrds in front of me. He was trying to anticapate her moves and stopped 22 yrds in front of me BIG MISTAKE the rage 2 blade did a number he only went 30 yrds and it was over. The pics are taken with my trail cam but it was all i had. It took 3 of us to 1 1/2 hours to drag out he was a heavy brute. I didnt have time to put a tape on him with the temps jumping fast but inside spread is 20"

Congrats man, I've been seeing a couple like that one, they just haven't wanted to work with me yet.

I'm hoping wednesday morning will hold something for me, after that the next I'll be able to get out will be Saturday...

Although as dumb as it sounds I may try to get out Tuesday, and Thursday night for a couple hours after work.

I'm going to go in tomorrow night after work and hang a stand and hunt it Wednesday morning, and leave it there until Thursday, and pull it back out so the other guys don't steal it this weekend

thanks guys, i worked hard for this guy, it's hard to get a buck like this trying to work around all the trespasser's i called the land owner today and alerted him he wants me to bring the trail cam pics out so he can see who they are. He said he was going down and post the property.

tresspassers suck!!
Luckily we don't have hardly any problem with them anymore, when you put the fear of God into them, well they tend not to come back... my dilema now is that they neighboring farm I hunt, has two other guys hunting it who just happen to be child hood friends with the landowner... and they just happen to be setting up in my "spot", they killed a decent 8 there on Saturday, nothing huge, but it was a buck nonetheless... I was wanting to set up there on Saturday evening, but if they are going in there I don't want to be hunting on top of them, and piss them off, thus loosing perimission altogether... know what I mean... if I can't get in there on Saturday I will be there on Sunday for sure, the bucks around here are really moving now though and I need to get into that spot asap... Wednesday morning I'm going to hang around in that area and see what happens though, maybe I can tag out on Wed, and not have to worry about hunting Saturday

you want to hear something funny, i wasn't going to go because i pulled an all day hunt on sat and sunday hunted 6 hours and saw very little movement. Mainly small bucks just crusing and no sign of rut activity from them. When the alarm went of at 5am this morning i got up and had every intention of going back to bed. I turned the news on and the forcaster said she saw some deer activity this morning on the way to work so i got to thinking :idea: coldest day of the year, good deer report, well i just had to go try it for atleast 2-3 hours. Everything was frosty, i had a 400yrd hike through crunchy leaves, the moon still shining bright, the thermals perfect and confident in treestand placement and it all came down to being in the right place at the right time, well worth the time!
