Hello everyone my name is Belinda. I am the owner of the Women Who Hunt website located at http://www.womenwhohunt.com. I am in the process of putting together my first compound bow and I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on what is the best equipment to equip it with.

Thanks

Belinda.

I am also looking for land for lease in Ohio if anyone has any leads for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Best thing to do is find a good pro shop so you can go and shoot several different model and brands of compounds,With the compounds i think alot has to do with how much money you are willing to spends or if you are a loyal customer to one certain brand. As for you accessories it all got to do with how much you want to spend and what you like (Looks)Some are alittle better than others but most of all they all are about the same, some are a little better quality but you will pay for that in the higher end of the scale.I have seen guys shoot the cheap stuff and the expensive stuff and still stack arrows it all up to what you like.
I personally like the mathews brand of bows and sites i like the extreme brands(snipers)but i have shot cobra sites before and nothing wrong with them.Good luck in your journey and always have fun

It really depends on how much you shoot, at least that's my opinion.

If you the type that shoots mabye once a week or so then go with a cheaper model bow. If you shoot alot, like almost every day, then go ahead fork out the money and buy a high dollar bow.

Personnally I love Mathews bows. They are forgiving and very smooth. They aren't the fastest, but IMO they are the best for over all comfort.

When it comes to gadgets I always recommend that you keep it simple.

You can get a good site for $20 to $30. I'm using an archers choice grizzly and really like it.

I also got a NAP Quicktune 1000 rest. I have several friends that shoot fall away rest, but I'd rather not have to worry about that one in a million shot when the rest fails and you miss the buck of a lifetime.

Stablizers are nice, but I HIGHLY recommend limbsavers for any bow. IMO they are the best thing that happened to archery in many years.

I couldn't see spending the money for a Mathews quiver so I bought a Bohning Jack Pine quiver from WalMart. Its the cheapest and best quiver I've ever had.

IMO PSE and Browning make great bows that are also very affordable.

Good Luck,
