just wanted to say hello. I am very much into hunting, fishing and guns. i also like to garden and go horseback and atv riding. I hope to be able to communicate with you women out there about this. This is the first group i have seen for hunting purposes for women, and i think this is a great opportunity for us.

Hi Tricia,
I'm Autumnlovr from Michigan. We've got quite an active women's section at Michigan-sportsman.com and someone here asked our mod to have some of us come over and get the Ohio ladies talking. I thought it was a great idea, especiallly if we can get some cross-border hunts or fishing expeditions going for us womens.
I"m one of the older women of the woods, I'm in my 50's and have been hunting/fishing for the past 30-35 years. I've also done extensive camping, some backpacking (upstate New York, Colorado, Utah, Pennsylvania). I enjoy wildlife and outdoor photography, in fact, I just got back from an expedition out to South Dakota....what a BEAUTIFUL state!
I hunt with bow, rifle, shotgun and handgun and have been successful with whitetail deer, boar, turkey, squirrel, upland birds and geese (I don't do ducks...can't stand the taste of them) and probablly some other game I've forgotten. My favorite fishing is driftboating for steelies, but I'm quite happy slamming the salmon and walleyes in both the rivers and lakes of Michigan.
Here's to many years of good conversation and comradarie between the women of two great states! And, we can ignore that football rivalry, can't we? :D

Just wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome you have given me.:) I love the outdoors and i have been hunting whitetail deer for about 25 years. I only recently shot my very first one though, a doe, but i had the adrenaline rush of a lifetime. Since then I have shot a few or so. I love the challenge, i do not use any feeders or food plots, I do it the old fashion way.
