Ok, a question from the rule book.

Youth hunters must be accompanied by an adult, over 18. The book makes a big deal about the accompanied part.

HOWEVER, does the adult have to be liscenced?

In two sections where the term "accompanied" is defined (once in the legal terms and once in the youth hunting section), it doesn't say anything. However, underneith the new tables, it says "liscenced adults"

Well...which is it?

During the youth hunts the adult has to be licensed and non-hunting. My interpretion is that during the regular seasons the adults do not have to be licensed.

However under the deer hunting regs it says you have to be licensed to "assist" (this is regardless of age). I take this to mean you can't send unlicensed people out to drive deer and things like that. I don't believe it means that an unlicensed adult can't sit or walk with a minor.

My advise to you is talk to the game warden in the area you plan to hunt.
