I have a problem with shooting my Muzzy Broardheads this year for some dumb reason. I have 2 arrows that hit right on. Then I have 2 arrows that fly of to the left by about 6 inches. I inspected the arrows and can't find anything wrong with them. I did apply arrow wrap and new fletching to then but thought that shouldn't make the difference. Does anybody have a solution to this ?? Good luck hunting everybody !!

maybe your inserts are out of aline spin them on a flat surface and see if they wobble ..you might need to heat them up and rotate them some to elimanate the wobble ..misalined broadheads can cause poor acuracy ..;)

I agree on spin testing them...Have you tried switching the broadheads from arrow to arrow...If you have 2 broadheads that fly great no matter what arrow your on then I would suspect that maybe the broadhead ferrel is bent on the two bad ones...If you have 2 specific arrows that fly bad no matter what head is on them I would supect misalignment.

If you are using carbon arrows you may need to turn your nock on the two that are hitting off, try a 1/4 turn and see what it does and go from there. Some arrows are not evenly spined and turning the nock can make a big difference.

Shot muzzy's for 15 years. Never had any problems like you describe. You mentioned 6 inches but not the range. In my experience, the range would need to have been at least 40 yards for only a broadhead allignment problem to account for that deviation.

Also, make sure all of your broadheads are lined up the same way with your fletchings, if you have the 3 blade then make it so the blades are in between the fletchings if you look down the arrow (thats what the guy at gander mountain told me) I use the mx-4 4blades and i line them up by just making one blade even with my off color fletching (im using a shoot through arrow rest) and mine are very accurate.

It may be your inserts are not be running true with the arrow like mullskinner said, or maybe the face of the insert isn't square with the arrow. I work in a machine shop and we take our arrows in and take a light skim cut off the face of the insert in a lathe. This squares the face with the arrow. Has solved alot of fixed brodhead flight problems. You may not see it but if the face of the insert isn't flat and true it will cock the brodhead, like was stated before you should see this with a spin test.

The fletching needing lined up with the blades is an old wives tale, so let's dismiss that first. To figure out if it's your arrows or your heads, switch them. If the the problem stays with the heads, check them out. The problem will likely stay with the arrow, so check out alignment, fletching, anything that can cause problems.

I reinserted the inserts and that fixed the problem. Thanks a lot guys for the advice.
