When I was splitting some Osage a small sliver split off the log.I decided to use this piece for practice. When I finished the bow turned out a little to light in drawweight for hunting. So I put this bow away for several months.I ran out of seasoned wood to play with a couple weeks ago.So I got this bow out and started to try some bending .This bow is very thin ,It is only 1 1/16" at the widest place. The handle is only 7/8" deep and bends some with the bow.The bow has started to settle at 45# @28".This bow is 63"s long.It has been shot hundreds of times.I had planned on backing it with sinew, but was so amazed with how it works unbacked ,I left it as is.I have put a leather handle on it since the pictures. Thanks everyone for all the interest...Joe

Awesome man..That'd be cool to shoot a deer with a bow you made....So how'd the bowfishing go on the Ohio this yr? I saw you found a boat too.

I've been out hunting twice, didn't get any shots. When deer season came in we went to heavy overtime on my job,not getting any chances to go hunting.I also got another Osage selfbow started,no time to work on it either. What little time I get to hunt goes to my 14 year old son's bowhunting. He has got a doe with his compound bow.I hope to get him a shot at a buck. Then old dad gets to hunt.;) Thanks for asking.....Joe
