What do you think about these Dates?

My Dad and myself have have decided to come up and hunt a week earlier this year.Last year we hunted the first full week of nov. And it seemed the deer were locked down? We decided to hunt Oct 26-Nov4 this year.Maybe we will catch the seeking phase and also beat the other hunters who take vacation the first week of Nov.

Well according to charts the 26th is when the deer should be in rut by 3 days. The deer will be aggressive and you should have good results. I always down one either the second or third week of october.

Do you think most of the corn will be off by then? Last year the farmer we hunt on, said due to all the rain it was being picked late.If not any good advice on hunting standing corn?

Well I always position myself so that my scents will blow in the corn IF the corn is still up. I just talked to two farmers tonight and they both said they are gettting ready to take it off because they need more feed for there animals. Hopefully its all down or at least the majority is. Its been pretty dry around here and is supposed to be dry for a while so its looking good so far for ya.
