Where I will be on opening morning for the chance to tag my first deer ever on opening morning, on video, and with my new Mathews. We are on a doe mission opening weekend and I think I have a good spot for them...

See the ladder in the background...

Lucky for him he needs a year or two...

Notice the time and date...

This is Nicki. We go way back. She better hope the story doesn't end 9/29/07.

A hen or a doe? Tough decision.

Thanks for the pictures Jesse. Good luck with your new food plot.

Nice work Jesse. I may be sticking a doe opening morning if I get a chance. I'll leave that up to my dad. I've convinced my dad to lay off the young bucks. It's either 8 pointer past the ears or doe. My dad is after meat so I reminded him that he can't eat the antlers and that if he lets the young bucks walk and grow they will have more meat on them the following year. I told him I would shoot as many doe as he likes and that meat will not be an issue.

The plot is looking pretty good there.

They are. What you see is about 5% of the entire plot. There is about 15% that looks like that. The rest is dirt.

Throw some doe pee in it and we'll call in the world's largest mock scrape. :yikes:

Thanks Shane! I needed a laugh :D It is really disappointing to have put all that time, energy, sweat, and money in those plots and to have virtually no rain in 3 weeks and to have to browsed so early. Its all part of the game I guess. Fortunately, this stand was already in a good spot. Lots of movement through here.
