I'm out fellows. Lost access to my scanner and I dont own a digital camera to download pictures. I apologize to Team 16 Rack Reapers. I hope you get a good replacement.

Someone please respond to this link so I know that someone has taken my place.

Matt

I made a note of it Matt. However, we won't officially replace you until Monday in case you change your mind.

Dude, I hate to see you quit just cause of that. Whats wrong with the scanner. I can probably help you with it. Also you can mail me the pic and I'll scan it for you and mail it back if thats what it takes. I just hate to see someone out of the game for a scanner problem.

jackalope i appreciate the offer greatly. i'm one of the few thats still using 35 mm camera and trail cameras that use film, heck i dont even own a cell phone. technology has passed me by. i'm only 32 years old but i'm extremely old school. not sure whats wrong with my scanner, but it wasnt much account in the first place (cheapy). mailing pictures would be more of a hassel than its worth to me. i really just wanted to give my resignation early enough so my spot can be filled since there waiting list.

Sounds like you had second thoughts about the contest and I respect that...sorry to lose you from the contest, however thank you for the advance warning and being up front on your views (or at least how I am reading them?). I know a lot of old schoolers who would think the "contest" is silly. We are merely trying to use it to promote our sport, participation on the site and in the outdoors, (this younger generation really likes to compete  ), comradarie and friendships :) , outdoor experiences and memories :bouncy: , as well as help the State with land and whitetail herd management :coolgleamA:  and have fun!

I will check in with your (ex)teamates and may even replace you today so they can move forward.

See you around the forum Mike!

You can take your film pics to most Wally worlds or Drugmart and they will transfer them to a disk for .99.

C'mon now, I'm the old man on the team @ 39!! :D

No need to drop out, their are plenty of alternatives. I also still use a trail cam that actually houses a camera and takes film. Just get yourself another scanner (easy for me to say) or after you kill a giant mail me the pictures. Heck, you'll have lots of time on your hands and mailing a picture of a deer would be fun at that point.

However, if you'd rather (drop out), then by all means don't let me change your mind.

Anyway, hate to lose a teammate so early on.

Mail me your 35mm pic and I'll post it. Just hang in there.
