looks like you got pick of the litter. Is this picl off of the same piece as the others (Freak Daddy, etc.,)? Wow if it is. I have not gotten any big bucks on film, I think they are staying on the property behind me. There are or were 4 that made it from last year so I think I will be in good shape.

Hey guys, well our first day went pretty good. My dad got a freezer filler. I think she just lost her spots!!!! I will try and post later I gotta get ready for the BUCKS!! I will be going out to my honey hole tomorrow a.m. hopefully to get my doe out of the way! I will definitely post the picture of the heart of the doe, anyway I gots to get goin.

what the hell is going on?! I got skunked today:irked:. Usually see a ton of deer at this place. I think they are staying in the cornfields; at least I hope they are LOL! Went out sat am and passed on a doe at about 30 yards! I didnt want to kill a doe in the spot I was in, plus she had a fawn with spots still. THen about 5 more deer walked by at aobut 70 yards and one was a descent buck but I didnt get a good look at him. Sat night went filming at my buddies spot and got skunked.

Sunday am I went to the same spot as sat am and passed on 3 bucks, the largest was prob about a 115 inch 8 point. Sunday pm wen filming again at my buddies spot and got skunked. No more buddies spots! haha

Well this am I was out and put a hurtin on a doe, so Team red October has one skin head down. Will post pics later. SHot her at about 22 yards and I am gonna tell ya what, rage broad heads make a huge freakin hole.

Congrats on the doe! Talk about the Rage broadheads, my brothers buddie klilled a nice buck opening day and the entry hole was freakin insane. He shot it at 15 yards. I am planning on going out Wed. night, hopefully to get my freezer filler!

Guys, I just got back from a road trip. We saw a TON of deer and a few "little " bucks. I saw a doe that went 200lb. on the hoof easy. Deer were out in numbers early tonight. Any one hunt tonight? I am planning on going out tomorrow night (fingers x).

hey boys i almost put us up big time last night i drew on that 18 point but he wouldnt turn broadside he skirted me at about 15 yard and was always quartering to me i saw 2 other bucks last evening but they were dinks hope to have something killed when it cools down a bit right now i'm only shootin if its a trophy

Im not sure if I will enter that doe or not! I got descent pictures but not the pictures I wanted. I plan on shooting another skin head, so we will see. Last ngiht was by far the best night in a stand I ever had without shoting a deer. Had two yearlings bed down 15 yards away, then mom came picked them up around 630. 7 showed to be true magical hour. Had a doe and a yearlnig walk in, was gonna wack the doe when all the sudden we had deer madness. two young bucks and abotu 5 other does showed up. One buck was a descent 8 about 18 inches wide but didnt have mass, so he walked. THe other was a 10pt that had abotu a 14 inch spread but prob 8 inch tines. so he walked. I had both of them within 10 yards and elected they would live to see another day. I would assume they are both only 2.5 years old. Very exciting evennig for me!

Hey guys, I killed a doe last night. Pretty nice one, I'd say around 120-140 lbs. 4 yard shot! She came on a string to my tree and stayed there for about 20 minutes before I smashed her with Hoyt/Axis ST combo. Angle was pretty steep as you will see. I think I will enter this one, I can't decide on which picture though I could use some help deciding.

Not really away, I would say at the 11:00 position. If perfect broadside was 12:00. I had to wait for her to clear a Beech sapling. I was pretty proud of myself, the whole time I was going through the shot placement. I have always heard that to make a good shot among everything you need to visualize the exit path of the arrow. With the darkness of the canopy I also had a hard time finding my "green" pin. The kicker is when she ran out to the field and died, I heard a deer snorting. When I turned to see where it was coming from I caught movement about 30 yards to the right of where the doe dropped. I am not real sure how many, but this buck was BIG! As he walked off snorting another nice 8 or 10 walked out in the field followed by 3 more does. Here is a picture of the damage (not very good quality), I think the water messed with the flash. Double lung, and straight through the bottom of the heart. I tried fixing but it is as good as my Kodak program and my skills can get it.

Ne way I went out morn and evening since tuesday. Past up a bunch of small bucks and fri morning wacked another doe. she came in to about 8 yards and I Smoked her. well last evening was a great evening i saw the buck i was after but it was too late to shoot i'll eventually get him though i had deer all over me last night 2 decent bucks and 6 does were in the field by me from 500 till dark it was exciting.i'm gonna try and wack a doe here real soon if these bucks dont start cooperating..see ya guys good luck

well fellas was out tonight and all i saw were 2 little ass bucks i rattled them right to the tree. i set out for a doe and when u try and kill them u never see um but when ur buck only hunting u have to heard them out of the way to get to ur stand crazy..i'll be hard at it tomorrow evening

WEnt out few times in the past 3 days. Passed on a few random does and saw a beautiful red fox two nights ago. Probably the biggest one I have ever seen.Passed on 3 does last evening. It is time to start hunting the "Spot." So we will see what materializes out of it.

well went out this morning had 3 does and a spike come by the spike stole my drag rag he got it tangled in his rack and drug it about 50 yards it was hillarious. shoulda shot one of the does but i had high expectations since i was in the secret spot. went out this evening same stand and got skunked for the first time this year. saw 3 bucks and a bunch of does on the way home so i'll prolly be hard at it in the morning. see ya

Not a whole lot. Didnt go out deer hunting all weekend. Duck season came in and I am a pretty dedicated duck hunter. Killed lots o ducks and geese this weekend. Went out deer hunting this morning and saw 7 does but thats it. no Antlers, getting a little irritated.

Man, I am getting blanked!. I hunted there 2 days after we talked and saw nothing. I am starting to wonder what happened:confused:. I have seen some good sign but no sightings and this wind has been a killer, blows my stank right into the "bowl". I definitely need the luck, I heard of a monster being killed close (3-4mi.) from my hole, but I haven't seen pics yet. Thanks for asking, I need another 3 days to a week to get after him. hey guys i cant win for losing.. last night i had a 35 yard shot at a doe missed her low. ten min. later i had a shot at about a 140 ten at 33 yards and missed low. shot the bow this morning was shooting way low. went out tonight put out the boss buck decoy about an hour before dark i rattled. here comes a giant right to me rubbing and tearing up all kinds of stuff on his way. he gets about ten yards out into the field then suddenly looks to his left and bolts. as i wonder what the hell just happend i look up to see another hunter coming into the damn field scaring off the bruiser.. i was pissed lets just say that. but i did see lots of deer tonight and did see some chasing

Well fellas I connected this morning on a descent 9. Came in chasing does and worked his way to about 25 yards from me and received a rage mounted gold tip arrow. He ran about 80 yards and expired. HE was the second shooter I saw this morning. The other was probably a 130 inch 8pt. Glad I didnt get a shot off cause this guy came in. Will explain more in detail later.

I scored the deer in the contest. But Lucky is correct, the weapon is supposed to be displayed in the entered photo. However, you can see his bow in his doe entry photo. Good enough for me :)

Kaiser congrats bud that is a great whitetail, i dont know what it is about those wide racks but i love em. I guess it amazes me how those dudes get throught some of the narleist brush and dont get hung up, me i get near a sticker bush and I'm like velcro.....I'll drink a beer for ya great job!

Well as for the whole photo ordeal, I shot my deer this morning and realized I didnt have my wallet. Hence no lisense, or no tags. So thats why the field photos were taken without any tags on the deer yet. Then once I had my tag and what not the deer was stiffer than a board and I wasnt able to bend the legs aroudn the way I had wanted so I took the photo in the bed of my truck, I was very discusted with myself at this point in time and I forgot to put my bow in the pic. It was just a cluster F*ck of a morning! haha Hopefully the rule enforcers wont bust my butt to hard. haha This morning I had a nice 8 walk by at 830, just out of range. 30 min later I had 3 does run up and stand about 50 yards away, when I heard a grunt and looked back and here came the buck. He stopped at about 70 yards and stood there for about 10 min without moving a muscle. I grunted and did everything, he still wouldnt move. As the ten minutes past I kinda lost track of the does and was watching the buck, I was moving all around to try and see what he was doing. I then realized I prob shouldnt move all this much, and looked over and saw the does staring at me and stomping their feet. I thoguht to myself, man zach, you jsut ruined this. When all the sudden a button buck came running up past the buck and the beck ran right with him to aobut 25 yards to me. He stopped broadside and was about 25 yards. Isn't is amazing how fast things can happen and go against logic? I too would think the game was over when the doe spotted me. I'd call ya Lucky but somebuddie else already has that handle.

well boys i fianally connected. went out in the am saw about 8 could have shot some does but wanted a buck. tonight i had nine does come in followed by a 12 pointer and a 8 pointer both were shooters. I went to draw on the 12 and they all took off running this doe stopped just long enough for a double lung 40 yard shot. she ran like she was only hit in the leg for about 120 yards. then bled real good for the last 70 or so. At first we thaught we might lose her but luckily I have an AKC registerd bloodhound that goes by the name uncle odie on here....lol.. I swear he can see blood were there aint any....lol he tracked litteraly pin drop blood for better than 100 yards. then she really opened up..The cool thing about all this is i shot this deer with a Mag 2 broadhead that uncle odie used to hunt bear with in the late 70's..kinda of a special shot...:biggrin:

I have heard a lot of complaining about not seing any signs of the rut being full swing yet?! I am hoping to take a good buck in the morning, but the "neighbors" have been down at their place for over a week. I just hope they didn't get onto my property and stink it up. well boys my season has came to a hault for the time being i was unlucky enough to have fell out of my climber i busted my left wrist up pretty bad and my left knee. hopefully i wont be down too long but who know i'm pretty sore. i was about 12 feet up when i slipped off my platform.

actually there is no way i could draw my bow right now i tried to earlier my wrist is just too sore trust me if i can get out there i'll be out ther and i will kill a big one this year i guarentee it.. it may take another week or two but i'll have one by gun season...i'm actually gonna try to get out tomorrow evening even if it means toteing a xbow with me..

Glad you are going to be OK. I learned some valuable lessons as a young man from my mistakes. I took one nasty fall when a tree step pulled out and the next tree step down caught under my rib cage. I was very lucky to only have a nasty cut and a huge bruise for six weeks.

I hope you get your deer, you sure sound determined!!!

I will start to help during gun season. Don't get nervous if I don't pull the trigger until MZ season. I'm picky on what buck I will shoot. If I don't get the right opportunity at the right buck I won't shoot one but I will take 2 does at least for sure, but not until MZ season.

I am having knee replacement surgery on the Monday after gun season but it won't effect my hunting of the MZ season.

Well folks its been awhile. I have been busy and away from a computer fro quite soem time. How has everyone been? I see no dead deer on here! Whats up with that?? I was out with the gun and chased the deer a bit. Saw a nice 150 inch ten on tues and had to turnadn walk the other way, otherwise I prob would have shot him. but ne way, back to work I go! Guys, I'm sorry but I did not take a deer this year.

I hunted all 7 days, all day, of gun season, missed the two day gun due to my knee replacement surgery, and then all 4 days of MZ season I was out all day.

I just never saw anything I wanted to shoot. The best deer was on Tuesday of gun season when I saw the 12-13 bucks. He was a 130's 8 point, but he was just like last years deer and the year before, and the year before that.

My son had already killed enough meat for us so I elected not to take a doe.

I could not bring myself to kill a deer just for the sake of this fun contest. I came close a couple of times just thinking how I didn't want to let you guys down, however I quickly came back to my senses and kept my personal priorities straight:)

I had a good and enjoyable season I just didn't shoot anything.
