Alternate Sign Up List

I know that there are a few who have not signed in as of yet. I will give them a week and if they fail to sign in we will appoint another member to that particular team.
So if you want to sign up as an alternate then do so here. I don't know how many we will need or if we will need any at all by the time it is all said and done.
Alternates will be chosen from this list by either myself or 45

Some team might get lucky to use me. Just went scouting around a few of my areas and seen a nice main frame 10 point with split 10" right brow tine walking within shooting distance of my stand. He'll score in the mid to upper 140's. Seen a nice 2 1/2 year old 8 point that'll score 110" (can't wait till next year) within 200 yards of another stand. Had 2 more 8 points feeding where I'll be hanging a stand Saturday.:whistle:

As of right now, we have one team that definitely needs a replacement (Team #16 Rack Reapers) and five teams who have one member who hasn't checked in and could potentially need a hunter. We have eight members signed up as alternates. Since we have been planning this contest for quite awhile now, we figured everyone who wanted signed up has done so, therefore we closed the alternate sign up thread.

To get Team #16 back to full strength so they can move forward, I took the alternate sign ups in order and numbered them 1 through 8.

I then listed the teams that need or potentially may need a hunter from low team# to high team # (see below). I then generated a random block of numbers 1-8 using a random number generator. I will keep the results of the exact order of the block of numbers generated in confidence except for the sixth number, which happened to be the number 6 (Buckeyebuckhnter) which would go to the sixth team # needing the replacement hunter. Buckeyebuckhntr is on Team #16.

Now before anyone gets discouraged, after Monday noon we will know which team(s) may need an alternate. As I stated, I (and only I) know how the alternate drawing came out and will release that information as appropriate. That said, the alternates that don't get on a team through this process will be put in a random drawing (if necessary) for an additional team. After all, it is a fun contest and Ed and I are trying to include everyone that's wants to participate.

If it ends up there are still seven alternates not on a team Monday afternoon, I will place all in the random number generator and make two more teams, although one team will end up with only three hunters.

Please let me know by PM if you have any comments. We are trying to keep this fun, fair and get everyone involved. The reason I need to get this done is I am personally going to be pretty busy first of the week and we need to get things set. The opener is only 2 weeks away!

OK ladies and gents. Refer to the above post for details, but I'm happy to announce that out of 68 sign ups we had only 3 that did not check in by the deadline...Team #2, Team #6, Team #10. Team #16 had someone drop out so the drawing was done yesterday for teams needing a hunter.

So here are the hunters drawn from the alternates pool and their team assignments:

I apologize in advance for inadvertantly excluding the three members who signed up but didn't/couldn't check in. But we have to move forward.

We are going to need at least one more alternate. If you wish to enter your name please do so here. There will be no additional teams added regardless of how many alternates we get to sign up. We will draw at random however many participants we still need from this list. Once the deer season starts there will be no more alternates added to any team which looses a member. You will simply have to finish the season with the team members that you have left. I will leave this thread open for a very short time. It will not be reopened for any reason after that.

Ok. We have two teams (#11 & #12 in that order) needing last minute replacements. We opened the alternate sign up again and had 4 sign up on short notice:

From that, XX78 will be on Team #11 - Whitetail Addiction and l00k will be on Team #12 - Buckeye Legends.

Alternates #3 and #4, may be utilized if something happens and another team needs a hunter. However, the teams are set and we will not be adding any. Sorry. No replacements or substitutions will be considered after 5pm Friday the 28th.
