that's an electric pole that runs from a church to the oil well, 3 churches in the area i rome, and tons of electric line, in fact all summer the power company had some neat machines down here clearing up the lines threw the woods and every where else...

check a camera tomrrow see whats up, watched some corn get ran tonight and deer were everywhere in there, and headed right towards a stand of ours...gotta couple spots picked out, even tho we only have small bucks

Well, camera shows smallies, but i know there's some shooters in there, im speaking of the place where i took the pictures of the deer in the beans, and the place is littered with rubs, made final adjustments on bow, filled quiver, activated scentlok and washed all clothes, cant wait....

Today my sisters fiance was over and we were shooting our bows when he picked u my bow and dry fired it!!! :yikes: :rant:

The string snapped in half...took a quick trip to the bow shop and fixed everything up. Got it shootin like normal again. The ol hoyt limbs held up.

The only good I got out of the deal was a fresh new string and a nice new peep

About 830 had 4 doe come in so I took a shot and CRACK! hit a tree....about 10 minutes later another doe walked by so i shot...went right over her back. dont know whats wrong with me. at least they were doe and not a monster buck. but anyway im done for the day i have to go to work

Well the story of this morning, was got up in the stand about 6.20 it was legal time but still kinda dark had a small bodied deer(possibly BB) passed right under the tree, later a big mature doe come by dead down wind, she never came in for a comfortable shot, heard lots of noise, and bleating and here comes a 3 legged doe hobbling for the stand, she stops at 10 yards and the only thing i know is i rushed the shot, because it was a CLEAN miss...but i do need to take her out, she has a hard time gettin around...Gonna set up on a route to a picked corn field this evenin....

good night tonight, had a big doe come by the stand, she was in range for about 15 min but never gave me a shot in one of my lanes, she left, later a doe with twins came by in the field but was also out of range, not sure what the mornin holds or if im even going...

this morning didnt go so well...only sat in the stand til about 930 then climbed down and decided to walk a bit because of the noisy water droppin outta the trees...came across 2 DOGS, 1 beagle and 1 little puppy that wouldnt quit followin me around! I kept kickin em but that puppy wouldnt stay out from under my feet. i had enough and left.

the good news is that i have an 8 point comin into one of the cameras around the same time each morning. Ill try for him tomorrow morning. Good luck to the rest of ya

Something similiar happened to me in turkey season. Setup in this cow pasture where the turkeys were crossing every morning. First day in the blind all the cows came up on an adjacent fence line and scoped us out. Then I remembered wer were in the Bull's fenced area. Talk about scared. the bull came up to the side of the blind and starting blowing and making noises. His head actually nudged the blind. He then raked his front hoove and charged my decoy. The decoy fell over and popped right back up. The bull acted like he just got shown up and was embarrased. He never bothered us anymore. Had to be the scariest and funniest time in the field.

well it wasnt crows, but this morning i had a big hawk land on a log in front of me. It flew up in a tree and started screamin and screamin. finally another one came in and it started screamin too. back and forth they went. cool at first then got annoying real quick

Im havin trouble judging distance. I dont know whats wrong with me. Had 5 come in one was a smaller 8 point but I took a shot at one of the doe and missed...

Looks like a range finder would be a good investment. Keep at it though.

This weather needs to cool down,the deer are ,moving early and late and im only seeing does, havent been able to connect yet... suppose to be a front coming in tuesday, should be a good evenin i wont be able to get to a stand till 5.30 pm but i will take what i can get...

Been seeing some deer come into a couple hay fields, so friday evenin there was already some does in the spot but i went ahead set up my pop up blind in some haybales, about 7:10 i see a couple deer coming, they turn walk right down in front of me, i shot the lead doe at 12 yards, I wasnt sure of the hit as i could tell i didnt get a complete pass thru and it hit bone, i thought i heard her crash but i wasnt sure if she got back up or not, so i decided to leave and come back in the mornin, i started off found half of my arrow and then good blood, turns out she didnt go any farther than maybe 50 yards and thats where i heard her crash, after gutting i learned i center punched the heart and the arrow struck the off side rib so after all i made an excellent shot...

Just in commercials...do you have it? To me it just seemed like one of those calls that has to be the perfect condition for it to work...I dont wanna risk spooking deer. But If Im hearin that it works maybe Ill get one.

I shot a doe tonight but lost the blood trail and couldn't sign any sign of where she went. I had her come in at about 30 yards and put a good shoot on her (at least I thought). She was also alittle down hill from me. I waited for about 25 minutes and I started tracking found well good blood for about the first 80-85 yards. Then it was splattered for about 50 yards and found good blood again for 10 yards. After that is when I lost her in some real thick brush. Look about the brush and no sign. I will try to find her tommorow but not until about noon(have to work). Doubt if she will be any good??????:( :( :( :( :(

Had to work all day. But I did find her today about 30 yards from where I stopped looking for her Thursday night. She was thorn open by something and stunk like crazy. Sorry team almost had another for our team. Won't be able to get back until probably Tuesday morning so good luck to you guys until then. Rut should start I think about this coming Thursday or Friday

I went out this morning saw a couple does, went to newark and did some stuff and buckeye outdoors, got some new arrows since my quiver was down to 4, went to a spot this evenin, dad said he saw about 12 turkeys(no shots) and one doe, and the only thing i saw was squriells I then laid the HOYTN smackdown on him.....

He did say he saw a monster 8 chasing and grunting at doe all evening so rutting activity has started for sure.

They were checking on the deer activity. He and myself are the only ones that Bow hunt on the property

Wasnt on here yesterday, but about 9.00 yesterday morning. i arrowed a doe, pulled the shot and hit her low and farther back then id like, but luckly i was using rage broadheads and they opened her up. knowing the hit wasnt good we backed out,went to look for sign 2 hours later and saw her as he jumped, so we knew where she has heading and backed out for another 3 hours circled in front of where we thought she was and she wasnt 30 yards from where we saw her last. This goes to show some of time thats all you need to do is wait and escpially on a gut shot...

yep ive actually sat that stand many times. seen that deer a few times, knew someone would kill it. My uncle killed an 8 point out of that stand the next day!! Not to mention another 8 point being spotted from that same stand :)

But not having any luck getting close to any bucks. Still seeing some does and a cuople small bucks hopefuuly I can get some points soon. Went out today and my friend and his son for Youth Hunt and his son missed a pretty nice 8 point probably 130's at about 40 yards.

Went out this morning, with the mossberg, missed a yote due to some standing corn, passed some does and a smaller 8 point, went afternoon to the same spot and the combine was running some more corn but he got a grain truck full and quit, we then got covered up with does in the field... Goin back out tomrrow and hoppin to catch a big buck....

My cousin killed about a 120" 9-point this morning...

Today went with a group of guys and did some drives, had a good amount of deer up, some shots, and I took another doe...

hahah, i know you guys will like the story on the doe so i figure i my's well tell it and take some harassing, Anyway one doe came into the wheat field and spotted me, then the one i shot came out, i put the scope on 6 and she stopped mid field, i shot missed .missed again, and missed again, she still stood there I then reloaded my gun and put a good hit on her and she went maybe 30 yards...I still cant belive she just stood there the whole time....

Didnt get any pics, but i gave her to a friend of ours after i tagged her in as he wanted some meat...

Cant belive it, another season has come and gone, as i sat in the cold tonight i looked back at the season, and it seems as tho it just flew by...I also thought about all the shots I have taken this season and I have came up with 14+:yikes: , But on the bright side I killed 3 does, and missed a yote in those 14+ shots, I only missed once with the bow, and am much better with my bow than shotgun:whistle: I hunted clear up til this evenin, I didnt get out much the past few weeks, but still had a good season without shooting a good buck, I usually take my video and digital camera with me and actually took some pictures the last two days.....

This weekend I hit two new farms, yesterday i found a good shed that apperas to be last year, its kinda chewed up but has good mass and the browtine is about 4 inches, but it is chewed off at the G-2, I found that shed somewhere in this field...
