Went down to the property Friday night/Saturday, and the fall plots we put in are doing very well. The brassica blends are about 4" tall, and the new forage oat blend we are trying is pushing 4" already. I am really impressed with the Buck Draw planting I put in from Merit Seed, it is 6"-8" tall in spots. We had fertilized the existing clover, and it too is doing very well. I mowed all the clover plots. We also replenished the mineral licks with Lucky Buck. It was a fun time with two of my daughters and my Boykin Spaniel along for the trip. We had a Friday night campfire, rode around on the fourwheeler, and they did some hiking while I was mowing. We got a couple of great pictures of a fawn that jumped up in the middle of one of the trails, and stood there looking at us, and posing for the camera.
