Just want to thank everyone who helped out with the questions we had. Now I guess all we do is wait.

What did you plant? We planted 6 or 7 acres of alfa-rack plus 2 weeks ago. It's coming up real good.

This close to the season (about a month) is there any real reason to even plant? I mean if I planted a small plot, would it yield anything by hunting season?

Planted Antler King Clover Mix and Honey Hole. Said it would be 6 inches tall in 10 days. And produce 20 tons of food per year per acre. ( I think ) It is also a perrenial so It will come back for 5 to 6 years. The way I see it if It does not produce at maximum potential this fall, I have alot less work to do next year cause it should just come back with a little lime and fertilizer. We have ALOT of does in our area and some nice 110 120 class deer everyday on our land, but always let em pass by. Saw 3 MULES last year about 150 180 class but only during the rut, and no shot at them. This will give them a reason to come around if the does like it. I work seven days a week on second shift and have 4 kids, Not alot of time to spend in the woods like you young lads. Wish I did, I am jealous of you guys. Will post pics when it sprouts.

What??
see I wondered..this clover stuff is labor intensive ...you have to mow it and spray it to keep the weeds and grasses down if you want it to last that long. they are herbicides...

Best of luck with the plots! Get us some pics as it's coming up if you can.
