I been lurking around for just a few weeks. What I seen so far is a nice group of sportsmen and sportswomen.
I'm 43 and enjoy fishing on Lake Erie for walleye, perch, steelies, and smallies. I use to hunt back when I was a kid. Started at the age of 10 with my first .22 and hunted everyday with all my buddies. I had the coon hounds the rabbit dogs and all that fun stuff. I got out of hunting when I went into my own business and that took 90% of my time and the family took the other 20% so you see I was 10% over extended and really to busy to get out and hunt. Now I have time. No business and all family time.
I'm married and have 3 great kids. 1 Girl and 2 over energetic boys. The one boy is 12 and ready to start hitting the woods for his first hunt. Mr.Squirrel. We just got him a old Marlin single shot .22 so he is pumped! LOL This rifle might be old be it still can pick off a quarter at about 40 yards but I will tell the truth. It took me a box of bullets to get back in the hang of it. lol Now he has 2 boxes to practice on before we go out.
The younger boy is the fishermen of them both. He jumps right out of bed at 5am and ready to go all the time. He reals in the walleye while we troll and drives the boat while I net them. His goal he said is to break the Jr. IGFA World Record walleye at 9.8lb. I think thats what it is still. He could get it anytime because a few of my buddies have got 10lb's already this year.
Well hope to talk/type back. Buckeye Chuck
