HAHA Bowtech. I can't say much given the deer you have on camera. But I can assure you this, you young guns are in for a run for your money. I have a little secret that I have kept in my hip pocket ALL summer. It might become my ace in the hole come November. :coolgleamA:
Kind of a funny side note. One of our biggest leases that I have to work on all the time is called the L.S. Hoyt. Makes me sick every time I go up there.

I actually think that when 1023 loses the bet he should have to wear "man" clothes, thats the only reason he wanted to start the off side bet because he knows that someone that shoots a mathews has no chance of winning so he thought this was a way to actually "come out" and let people know he feels comfortable in a dress...

Team 17 will glady except your drive up to Cleveland to wash our trucks post-deer season. They get kinda dirty with our bow hunting distractions. Might we remind you it does get quite cold up here so bring an extra garden hose in case mine freezes up. No map was needed, I just went through all the old threads and pics that you and your teammates had put up here and noticed how small the bucks were and the large amount of does you guys take....First thing that hit me was the fact that I was looking at deer from Pennsylvania, being all scrawny and ribly looking. Pretty good deer for Pennsylvania though. When are you coming to Ohio to hunt, it's a bit different over here, we let those walk.

Big H:
No, no sign of EHD, we hunt in Ross County. We hunt on 3 farms that border each other and none of the farmers mentioned anything about finding any dead deer. I guess the over-all land mass is around 600, we were over it all (except for anywhere near where the pics of that good one came from).
Not referring to EHD, but we are still seeing and getting a lot of pictures of "teeny" fawns. Lots of Does that are showing some rib-cages/skinny. Don't know about it all, messed up rut with the full moon this past year/hot weather could have meant a lot of does were bred in the second estrus cycle. I guess these fawns will pack on the weight though, decent acorn crop this year and they are coming down fairly well.
Only thing to note is that we did find a scrape this morning that couldn't have been any more than a few hours old.

Oldhat
I have several does on the game camera that are very skinny also, the fawns look healthy though. I am disappointed in the acorn crop on our place this year.

Big H:
Our acorn crop is "spotty" which is perfect for hunting. But the ones that have them are absolutely loaded! Since it is spotty, it seems that the deer are hitting both the reds and the whites. It's typical to see them favoring the whites, but this year they are treating both as equals. I have not seen however any of what I refer to as "Chestnut oaks" in the Red family that are producing nuts. I don't know if that is the proper name, but it is the big ol' yellow ones that are around 1"-1.5" long or so long. We also have what I consider is a large amount of persimmon trees (maybe 50 on all of the 600 acres), we have checked just about all of them and there is only one that has produced this year.
From what I have seen, our whites have produced better than the reds, which is a benefit. But with the whites, it is odd, there are several trees here and there producing then you can't find any more for several hundred yards, maybe farther, then sometimes there are maybe 2 producing and none of the ones right next to it produce....so to say they are "spotty" is an understatement. There is absolutely no "pattern" to what oaks are producing nuts (i.e high, low, what bank they are on, etc.)
From a "tree guy" I got that a lot of these oaks are on a 7-10 year cycle, throw in a drought, late freeze in here and there and who knows what you'll get from year to year. But he did say that we get a bumper crop every 10 years or so, that is if all the stars align just right.

What you need to do is just take matters into your own hands then, there is nothing else that works I tell you.
Seriously, quit being a big baby, and just get out there and hunt. If you can't climb a tree, sit on the ground, or in a ground blind.
When I had my ACL surgery, the therapist asked me what my goals were. I told her that I had a spring turkey hunt scheduled in 5 weeks, and needed to be able to walk up and down the hills in Georgia. I went, brace and all, and I know that had to hurt more than your "little" groin pull. Word is, that for you, it would be a "minor" injury anyhow.

Hiller was needing some cheese for his wine. I remember the buck, remember the name, and remember Hiller cryin' like a baby because his ugly pics were not getting voted on. He could not "ass-ertain" (Like buttmaster) that the pic was about beauty, the setting, hunter being in camo, you know, shoving the tongue back in the mouth, wiping away the blood, etc. and not about a big buck.
Oh, and I said that I'd donate/Buy a OhioSportsmans.com hat for the winner with their name on it and uh, uh, uh, I kinda forgot about that until I seen Hiller post and I remembered the "wine".
Oh, I remember him saying that he was gonna go get some buddies to vote on his picture or somethnig like that. Some guys just always cry, don;t know what team he is on now, but they outta' re name it "Whine & Cheese"
That about sums it up!If ya need more info let me know.

I should get a point for that turn of events right there, that should get added to my teams score at the end of the year, 1 pt is all I ask for. Or, if there is a tie, my team wins the tie-breaker for what has just transpired. I got chewed out, pm'd, the whole nine yards in about 5 minutes, that's gotta be worth something on the "Smack Talking Thread".
I don't think we should be allowed to withdraw posts from the smack talking thread, we always have to have a point of reference to you know, reeference in the near future if need be.
