Ok so it was the 4th quarter and he was playing against 3-4 string, but he looked pretty good. I hope he gets some snaps next week, I agree with Bernie......let's see him against the first string D with the first string Offense. The rest of the game was a joke, what the hell happened tonight?:irked:

I think Brady would have done just as good against the 1st string D- if he had the weapons and Line protection that Anderson and Frye was getting.

that 2 minute drill was the best 2 min drill I have seen in 2 years.

Our 2 min. offense is usually pretty pathetic, False starts, Holding penalties, mis-management of the clock, missed passes , oh yea... lets not forget the ever appearing INT in the end zone or the attempted run toward the endzone only to be stopped short and we stand there as the clock runs out.

Brady looked like a leader that was in complete control.

I am not saying he is ready to take the starting job right now, but I dont think he is too far away.

I could see the looks on Frye and andersons faces as the Kid was marching them down the field and barking commands like he has been in the NFL for 10 years.

Brady made one pass, that was one of the nicest passes I have seen one of our QB's make since they came back.

The kid was accurate , His reads were great and he hit the open man.

I think we got a good one with this kid.

I think Ken Dorsey has looked better than Frye or anderson for 2 games now, that is saying something.

Frye and Anderson both did look like they had to choke down the humble pie. I too think dorsey looked good, I think Quinn will be ok, I just don't want hem to rush things. That is what happened to Frye IMO. The 2 min drill was Unreal, I walked up to get a beverage and came down and they were first and goal from the 6!

Defense looked pretty shaky though, O-line needs to do some runnin for the bonehead penalties! I am very excited about what this season may bring, but we will have to wait and see.

Quinn did what he always was able to do at ND....Look good against sub-par competition. He was famous for 300yds vs. Army...Navy...Air Force. Name one BIG game at ND he won or even looked good..... Bowl games vs. OSU and LSU were :dizzy: :dizzy:

Yea, you couldn't ask for more as far as his first performance went. Just remember there was no defence on the field. Let's see what happens next week.

I DONT THINK QUINN HAS REACHED HIS POTENTIAL YET...HE WASNT THAT GOOD WHEN PRESSURED AND TRIED TO MAKE IMPOSSIBLE THANGS HAPPEN AT ND...ND...HELPED MAKE HIM...BUT I THINK HE WILL MATURE...HOW GOOD WILL HE GET...THATS UP TO HIS OFFENSIVE LINE AND HIS RECIEVERS AND BACKS...THE BETTER ALL THEM ARE...THE BETTER HE'LL BE...:mischeif:

Yeah and his O-line was NFL caliber too. I guess only time will tell, but he sure did look good. We will see next week, hoefully you will be eating a piece of that humble pie:yikes:.

Quinn, looked better in his debut than Charlie EVER looked in Cleveland.

This is Charlies 3Rd Season and he really doesnt look any better than his first season.

He might be a little more familiar with the game, but he just is not the talent QUinn is.

I think once Quinn gets acclimated to the offense and the speed of the game, he will be able to score a lot of points.

ANother thing is, there is 10 other guys on the field with him in ND, he is only one position and did a very good job in his position, the kid holds almost every passing record at ND, and that doesnt happen if you cant play.

If the kid had a defense with him at ND, he would of won alot more games.

Its pretty bad to throw the ball for over 300 yards and throw 4 touchdowns and still loose.

That falls to the responsibility of the defense not your offense.

ND played catch up all year long, you can't win games when you are just trying to keep pace with the opposing team. The defense never gave the Offense breathing room. I was really impressed when Quinn drove inside the 20 yard line and threw that laser to the tight end (I think) right in the middle of the field. He stayed composed through both series, I probably would have been going nuts after throwing my first NFL touchdown.

No doubt Quinn is going to play fro the most demanding fans in the NFL (possibly all of sports) so he has got to learn to handle pressure.

I think when Quinn gets comfortable with the offense and has a wider plan of plays he can use, he will be doing all the things that we Browns fans have been waiting for since they came back.

I am not saying Quinn is the next Montana , but I think he is a HUGE upgrade over what we have had, it is cazy.

he looked like a real leader out there, he had complete control over the game, and Captained those guys to TWO scoring drives and ALMOST a 2 point conversion and made it look really easy to do. in just a fraction of the playing time the other QB's have gotten.

It looked almost too easy for him, I keep hearing yea.. yea.. but that was 3rd and 4th string guys on defense, Quinn was using 3rd and 4th string guys in the offense also, he made those 3rd and 4th string offensive guys look like 1st stringers against a 3rd and 4th string defense.

You have to give him credit for coming in and performed the way he did, he looked as though he has already been in the league a couple of years.

I think we got a good one with Brady.:bouncy:

Its hard to win a game when you are giving up 40 points on the average.

Good example is Miami dolphins with Marino, one of the best if not the best QB's to ever play the game, but his defenses were always terrible, hence... No big Game to win.

Marino would have to put up 50 points to make sure they walked away with a W.

It takes more than one guy to win a game.

Part of me hopes they do play Ms. Quinn for the opener against Pittsburgh. He will have a second chance to watch Santonio Holmes running free in the secondary just like he did in the Fiesta Bowl against Neutered Dame.

this year I am not expecting Cleveland to be in the run for the playoffs, but it isnt far off.

Once the Brrowns get the team repaired from the Butch Davis time, we have no way to go but up.

Pittsburgh better enjoy beating up on the Browns as much as they cannow, because it will change.

Maybe not this year, or maybe not even next year, but its not too far off for Cleveland to start handing Pittsburgh the butt kicking they got coming and deserve.

ENJOY IT FOR NOW !!!

The only time a FAN razzes another sports fan of a rival club this much is because they KNOW their time is running out.

Do you actually think the Steelers can keep a run like they have had, I actually think they started declining last year.

New coach , new system, new style, lost a couple of good ball players, Big Ben coming off a not so good season, Lost half their offense with a retired Running back and havent been able to find the new half as of yet.

BUt one thing I can really give a Pittsburgh fan credit for..

They really know how to run their mouth.;) LOL!!!

Toker,

Why do you insist on being a dark cloud over this topic for us Bowns fans.

Do I think that the Browns are a better more advanced and disciplined team than the Steelers at this point in time ?

NO I do NOT.

They have a ways to go yet, but atleast we are the kind of fans that are not ashamed to admit that.

The Browns have not had the luxury of having a good coach and great drafts and an ownership that will do what it has to do to put a winning product on the field for their LOYAL fans.

I remeber the 80's when the Browns pretty much owned our division, and was a team that demanded your best effort when you played them.

Jjust be glad you steelers fans havent had to go through the years with high hopes and waiting for it to change like we Browns fan have had to endure.

But do we still support our team no matter what ?
YES WE DO.

we bleed orange and brown and no matter if it take another 20 years to get a winning team back, we will sit in the stands and in front of the tv week after week cheering on our team on until that day gets here.
An when it does finally get here ( and it will get here) it will make all these years worth it.

GO BROWNS !!!

I have to weigh in here...as many of you know, I am a Michigan guy and, therefore, anti-ND. I am also a huge Steelers fan (have been my entire life). That being said, Cleveland has an incredibly talented QB in Quinn. In my opinion, he is the best college QB in the past 5 years. He is athletic, has a stong arm, is intelligent and does not shut down. If Cleveland gives him time to mature and "figure it out," he will become one of the best QBs in the NFL within 3-5 years. If they put too much pressure on him in years 1 and 2, who knows what will happen. At worst, he will shut down on Cleveland, be traded to another team, and be "lights out." Clevelan fans, get behind this guy...he will be the backbone of the team and lead them to the Super Bowl (as much as it pains me to say it) within 3-5 years if you give him a chance. Just my opinion.
By the way, R. Toker...you need to get over your college bias when looking at the NFL...this guy is the real deal.

Brady looked really good again tonight and it was against the Denver number 1 defense.

Should of had a touchdown if Joe would of got that right foot down in the end zone.

But he did get a touchdown with Joshua Cribbs.

Quinn looks like he is the real deal.

I think the Browns are gonna do a little better this year than a lot of people think they are gonna do.
