Hey bowhunter1023, when you used that disc did you need any weight on the unit to keep it from bouncing? I need to do my skidder roads and have a disc, but haven't used it yet. We also got a man killer of a unit, it is like the old Gravely walk behind, man this thing is wicked. I will try and post a pic of it.

Hey 25 hold on for a little bit. I got something for you, but I have to get it together. Check back after lunch and I will have a good post to help you out. Kinda of a DIY thing to food plots for first-timers and guys not wanting to unload a bunch of $.

K, but I pretty much have all the equipment I need. I have the Man killer, this thing is a BEAST. I will post you a pic. I also have a Polaris 325 that I use for firewood season. I use my Ford SD and a buddies Hoe when I really want to get nasty LOL :yikes:. I have all the sprayers seeders tools etc I need. I really like the pics of how you did your plots, with minimal tools. I see you started a plot thread........maybe we all can learn something from the 2 threads.

As long as the skeptics keep their mouths shut, I don't see that being a problem.:mischeif:
There will be a day when I really do a good job of planting. I need a lot of things before that day gets here. Land that isn't going to be cattle land in a couple of years is the first priority. Once I get my own land here in the next 5-10 years, I will have the right equipment. It will all be done with a tractor from the point forward.

Yep, I see what you are saying. I definitely think we can benefit from hearing each others experiences, trial and error, etc, etc.
For those of you who save old North American Whitetail magazines. The best literary work ever written on this topic was published on page 17 in the July 1996 issue.

I should have that issue at the deer cabin. I will try and dig it up. If Nobody finds is can we look it up online?

Took my daughters out to the farm today, the berries are everywhere. They were occupied with picking while I was scouting. We saw 1 nice doe with triplet fawns, the lil 4 pt., and another doe. Film was fully exposed so we'll see what we got.
