Ya , Its allmost that "TIME"
I'm looking to see if any Turkey hunter in Ohio has ever shot a turkey with a flint tipped arrow and a selfbow. I'd like to be the first in modern times? Jeff

jcdflint.....Yep, I'd say you'd be the 1st in Oh if you can pull it off! I'll be out trying it from a low, well hidin treestand again this year using decoys. My blade of choice is a 2 blade Snuffer at present out of a Shaffer recurve. Hope to connect in the am if I can coax him away from those hens;)

My son has taken two does so far with stone points and neither went over 75yds. Last years doe was a different story.....at ten yds he hit right behind the shoulder and the arrow cracked loudly on impact. Apparently the arrow must have split which caused poor penetration and an urecovered deer sad to say. Anyway, he had it all on video which added to his frustration.:(

Good luck on that gobbler next week!:D ......TF

TF, thanks, I wish you luck in the morning! I've killed 5 deer with flint but not a turkey yet. Will see ? Jeff
