Ok, we'll run this contest through July 22nd. At that time I'm going to have "FeedMan" a Cuddeback dealer from Wisconsin's Seed N Feed (http://www.fifieldseednfeed.com/cuddebackcameras.html) store pick the winner. $100 goes to the winner.

Hey folks, just thought I would drop in and introduce myself. My name is Bernie and this is my first time here. I've been at the Michigan Sportsman site for over a year now and have been having a ball. Steve asked me if I would like to judge this contest and I'm more than happy to do it. We've had a few over on the Michigan site and it's been a lot of fun.
I have to say I am very impressed and a bit surprised at the bucks you have down there. Tremendous would be a good word to discribe what I have seen here.
A little more about me: I live in northern Wisconsin and own my own business www.fifieldseednfeed.com. We have a pretty diverse product line but one of or best products we have here is the Cuddeback cameras. We are located just 4 miles from Non Typical and have been dealing with trail cams for over 8 years now. We have some of the best prices on these cams and offer customer service that is second to none. Sure I know you've heard that before, but trust me we mean it. There's a reason why we are listed number one on Cuddebacks authorized dealers list.
What I had planned to do today was go on the Michigan site and offer a pre-season sale on all three models to the members only. I would now like to extend that to any of you here at the Ohio site.
Our regular prices: No Flash $389.00
Expert $ 359.00
Excite $ 269.00
If anyone of you are interested when you call tell us here that you are from the Ohio Sportsman site and you'll get an additional $15.00 off the No Flash and $10.00 off the Expert or Excite. We'll pick up the shipping and remember no sales tax. Also keep in mind we are up getting cams from the factory at least three times a week. You're getting the latest units with the most recent upgrades.
One more thing. Just to make this contest a bit more interesting on top of the $100.00 I'll throw in a $50.00 credit for a cam of your choice to the winner.

Good Luck

bowhunter1023

I have a qustion for you Bernie, and I'm not trying to be rude either, just an honest question. How do you feel about the sales of Cuddebacks on ebay? You have a good deal going there, but unless I win the contest I can still get them cheaper on ebay from authorized dealers even with the shipping. Just wondered if that is a sore spot for some dealers. I know ebay really ruffles the feathers of the guy down at the bow shop.

I plan on getting my pictures today. I doubt I will have anything to compete with BuckSlayer and I think he should be the winner. The only chance I would have had is if my buck had been centered and full framed. With the morning sun it would have been nice. I personally think the contest should be run until the season so we can get some hard horned pics. Or have a new contest for pics during the season. Limit it to 2 entries per person. But that is JMO.

Hey Bowhunter, a couple of things about Cuddebacks on E-bay. Show me an authorized dealer on E-Bay and I will show you an ex-dealer. If there’s one thing Mark Cuddeback hates, it’s E-Bay and as good as friends as he and I are he’d give me the boot too.
Another thing. What if in the unlikely event you had a problem with your cam. Do you want to talk with some unknown on E-Bay or would you like to call someone that knows these cams inside and out and would be happy to trouble shoot your cam over the phone.
I can’t even count how many times we have taken care of issues over the phone avoiding the cam from needlessly being sent in.
Also how old is this cam you’re getting from E-Bay? Do you have the latest software upgrade in it? Does the Expert have the new and improved flash caps? Does it have the improvements that I’m not even able to discuss here? Also if purchased on E-Bay you get no factory warranty.
These are all things one needs to think about. Sometimes saving 20-30 bucks in the short term turns out to be not so great of a deal down the road………………..and no Bowhunter I did not take your question as being rude. Actually it was a pretty darn good question.
Good luck on the contest.

Thank you for your response Bernie. Some of those items I did consider, others I did not. I did a ton of research before buying new cameras. BuckSlayer as a winner of a Moultire. I had a turd... I read some of the infromation concerning the software updates and the stuff regarding the flash. But I never gave much thought to dealing with the dealer for stuff like that.

I love my Cuddebacks, and so far, knock on wood, all is good with them. I bought them both at the same time from the same person and the same time. He runs an archery shop in Ohio and sells stuff on ebay to augment his sales. Seemed like a nice guy and informed me of some of the issues. But from the sounds of it, I know where to purchase my next one from ;)

Wow what a great deer BEC! Unreal.

Here are a couple more that are OK. Not winners, but nice pictures. The first is of a doe that I feel is trying to give birth. I have had some say she is peeing, and others agree. For one you can't see any pee. Second, I have never seen a doe squat that far to pee. The second picture is just another doe that has twins on our place. 4 out of 5 does we have give birth to twins every year. It is unreal.

Actually, I have been taking the loud annoying person in the woods approach. My camera is not far from a road and its public...the deer are used to action...last time I was in there I had pictures just a few hours after I left. I usually try to be louder at the truck in hopes the deer will head out before I enter the woods...of course the only thing I touch is my camera and I get in and out as quick at possible. I have to check it every two weeks because of battery and them eatin all my corn. I usually go before a rain if i can.

bowhunter1023
07-19-2007, 03:30 PM
Cool deal. I go in during a rain in my rubber boots and I wear rubber gloves. But I tuck my cameras in close to honey holes so I have to be careful. The only time I'm not is if I am doing work in the area and I already messed it up. Sometimes I will swing by and grab a card then if I'm prepared.

So these bucks are on public land? In that case I am really impressed. I hope you are hunting it lol.
