I am a serious groundhog shooter that is trying to find the best counties within Ohio for my weekend shooting. I need to find the counties with the most beans and welcome advice from you guys.

I would love to find an Ohio partner that didn't need permission to hunt for an "Entire day" or more. I cannot find serious varminthunters to join up. I have a 6 wheel Polaris Ranger for covering large farms and shoot from a fixed position (bench) after using a range finder and big eyz.

I have seen a lot of areas hurting for hogs, probably because of coyotes, but mostly because it has been so damn difficult to find serious bean accumulations.

I can also travel to Pa if someone is similarily fixated on long range work.

Look forward to checking in occassionally.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I can't give you any good information but there are some here who can and I am sure will.

why the fixation on beans, groundhogs were thick before beans...and i see pleny whether theres beans or no beans...never seemed to be a groundhog shortage anywhere i go...course maybe a bean fed whistle pig tastes better...:mischeif:

Since I am not walking and shooting, I need to cover the largest area possible where the hogs are driven to come out sometime other than early morning and late evening. A large beanfield usually gives me more opportunites than anything else except maybe alfalfa. I hope I find that cut hay fields will fill the bill here.
