Hunting/Outdoor movies?

Anyone know of any good hunting/outdoor movies? I'm having surgery in June and will be stuck on the lazy boy recovering for 3-6 weeks. I need some good entertainment. My favorites are: Jeremiah Johnson, The Ghost and the Darkness, Almost Heroes and The Edge.

So what are your favorites?

It's not a hunting movie but I like Cool Hand Luke ;) I like army flicks too such as Saving Pvt Ryan, Midway, Tora Tora Tora, Bridge Over the River Quai, Green Beret. As yes the Duke...The Shootist, good movie. Let's don't forget to add The Outlaw Josey Wales and The Unforgiven to your library :D

I'm right there with you on those movies! There's 2 other older movies about Grizzly bears that I really liked but I can never remember the names of the movies... in the best one, the movie starts out showing the guy, a big game hunter, living in Africa, along the Nile river & a huge croc nabs his young son off the bank & is pulling the son, who's head is barely above water, out away into the river screaming for mercy... the guy grabs a rifle & shoots his son in the head to put him out of misery... end of hunting career... relocation back to America... until years later when a good friend is begging him to come out of hunting retirement to help hunt down a rampaging man eating Grizzly.... it's one wild movie but older! I don't even know if you could find it on video if I could remember the name... If anyone can remember the name of this one, let me know because I'd like to check to see if it is on video!

"8 seconds" is a GREAT movie! kinda outdoors related and "Pure Country" is another it has George Straight in it....But i like a wide array of movies

yeah, we go way back :D One of my best hunting buddies...always like to have fun at someone elsed benefit :D
