When the Cabela's MWC Walleye Madness Tournament rolls into Ottawa County for the new head-to-head bracketed tournament May 10-12, extra hands will be needed to assist with launching boats, weigh-in festivities and scoring.
Organizers of the tournament are seeking approximately 15 volunteers to fill several different shifts.
About five volunteers are needed to assist with the morning launching of boats from 6 to 7:30 a.m., May 10-11.
The volunteers will assist the teams in launching boats and parking at Coastal Marine II, 53 W. Lakeshore Drive, Port Clinton.
An additional 10 volunteers are needed for the afternoon events from 2:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Volunteers located on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton will assist with weighing the catches, marking scores and parking.
The Masters Walleye Circuit is the longest-running professional walleye tournament circuit in the United States. Teams were seeded into the 64-team bracket in 2006 for their chance to advance to the "Sweet Sixteen" special made-for-television Walleye Madness Tournament to air on Outdoor Life Network.
