While scouting for turkey this past weekend, the crappie were biting. We talked with several fisherman. The crappie seem to be at about 14 inches below the surface. Right up against the timber and stick ups. Medium minnows and white jigs with meal worms. One old timer claimed to have caught over 80, but only kept 20 or so...
