im not the the catching shad thing can any one tell me how to catch them and what parts of the lake i should be looking for them i dont have a boat so i cant go any where but the bank and can you catch them with rod and reel

i throw my cast net around shallow rocky areas that the sun is shining on and warming the water !!!

just caught about 35 nice sized shad at tappan today

thanks for the info i live near piedmont lake so i will go out there today and see what i cnat get , any one know any bait stores in belmont count yarea thatsells shad if i cant catch any
