I tried watching him Sunday after leaving him for over a year. I swear the guy was still fishing in the same private pond. Every week it looks like the same water. Nobody, and I mean nobody catches that many big fish on public waters. The guy could through cheese on a hook to those bass and catch them. Ads, ads, ads, thats all he is

Good ole bill might be a nice guy and a good fisherman, but his show is B O G U S, I gave up watching that show years ago .. I used to have a little fun trying to pick out some kind of open water, or something to give me some hope he wasn't fishing in a pond .. I gave up, the man fishes in the same pond every week, I guess the show has evloved into him just catching fish and making commercials out of his show .. what a waste of talent. Does anyone remember a show from about 10 years or more back call the Jerry Mckinnis (Spelling) show .. I like that for its realility and easy going host ..

I agree that his show does gear at catching lots of big fish, and it does for a reason. It's to teach other anglers all the different aspects of fishing and how to utiltilize them in the most productive way and how better a way to show you whats possible by catching big fish. I don't know any angler who does not want to go out and catch a big fish or lots of them each time they go out, I sure the hell do but it don't always happen that way. In my opinion he is a great teacher of the art of fishing, I've applied his teachings and it works and you can't say that about every guy who has a show out there on a consistant basis. And I say yes to Jerry Mc Kinnis another great angler, announcer and a great story teller as well. Watching both of these gentlemen will help mold you and young kids alike into a better human being. Bill has earned his stripes in my book, keep catchin the BIG FISH. :)

Bill Dance is a joke. Since I watched his show and he was making fun of the people that watch for having a job and he can fish and we pay to watch him. I just quit watching him all together.:rolleyes:

The Nuge don't take crap what so ever from anyone. Most of the fisherman on tv are just out for the buck and will say anything to seel you what makes them rich. But I guess they have to make a living.:rolleyes:

if most hunted an fished where these guys do they would be sucessful too...those that own their own land in the best areas better git big deer each yr...or they ain't squat...its a business,and one at what they enjoy doing bottom line...everybuddy should see it for what it really is...makin money is their game

george,virgil ward had the 1st fishing show that i can remember.funny looking guy who wore big horned rimmed glasses.
i must be getting old.i can't be the only one here who remembers him.

I remember virgil ward & in the latter years his son "Greg" was on the show some & I think fishe BASS tourneys. I also remem a show the Flyin' Fisherman .. I think it was Gad-about-Gaddis. My favorite outdoor show was called Michigan Outdoors I think .. Our main channel was WSPD channel 13 Toledo back then in the 50's & I think it came on the air in 49 or 50 cuz Dad bought his 1st TV to watch it & for a week we watched test patterns till it went live:eek: :rolleyes:

i used to sit and watch the test pattern,thinking it was a western and those were arrows that indians were shooting at the cowboys:rolleyes: :D ;)
