You're in your tree stand hunting whitetail deer with a bow & the below pictures unfold below your stand. You're out of your cell phone service area & dark is approaching fast...

What do you do now?

How many arrows in the quiver? How many wolves? If you kill a few, will the rest leave or will they just lay in wait out of range... it's their fresh kill, they own it now...

I usually carry 6 arrows, 4 b-heads and 2 field points. If I had to, I'd pick them off one at a time...But I would prefer to wait for them to eat and wander off, then climb down and head downwind as fast as I could with a full quiver and my knife :yikes: ;)

Drop burning sticks onto them, make a lot of noise, and try not to look like a moose!

There would be urine dripping from my stand for sure.

Yea, and it would probably help to scare of the wolves. I don't know, do you think they would let you scoot off with them having a fresh kill? Or could you spooke em away? I would think they would be more focused on the carcass already down rather than the strange potentially dangerous creature walking away.

That or wait til their full!:)

i would shoot all six arrows at them , and being the great shot that i am , when they realised i missed with all six arrows . they would be laughing at me so hard i could sneek out .. hoot

Actually, if I recall, there's only been one incident where a wild wolf killed a human in North America. That incident happened just last year. I think you would be fine to climb down and walk out. Albeit while scared to death.

Yeah, I remember reading that story. It was sad... I was thinking that I'd do my best to wait & tuff the cold out for a while because those wolves would be dang defensive about protecting their kill.

If you could manage to wait it out until they have had their fill you would most likely bre able to sneek your way out of there down wind.
However, it would be very hard to hide my scent with the load in my drawers.:yikes:

I was thinking that if you had a sow bear & 2 cubs below you, it would be about the same... wouldn't want to get down because she'd consider you a threat to the cubs just like those wolves would defend their kill...

I would pee on their heads just cause it would make me laugh...Then I would ask them to pass me a piece of tenderloin :D

I think that would be awesome to witness. The is nature at its finest right there. I love wolves and that would be something I would never be able to forget...for a good reason.

Don't worry, the USFWS will come along any minute and trap them, then haul em' off to another National Park or Forest...:irked:
