Here's a couple of pic's from our Texas hunt last weekend. This is the group that I went with on this paricular trip. Starting on the left: me(maytom), Jim(Slater), Mark Greico and his nice Rio, Chuck(ctwny1). This pic was taken Sunday morning, and Mark was the only one who scored that day!!

Here is a pic of me and my Rio. Took this guy at 10:15am monday morning as I was waiting to get picked up. I heard a gobble about 75 yards away, set-up called and he strutted all the way in spitting and drumming to 15 yards. He weighed 19 1/2lbs, 9 3/4" beard and 3/4" spurs!! Not a bad Rio at all I thought for my first ever!!

AWESOME!!!!!!

What outfitter did you go with? Where are they located?

If you don't mind me asking, but how much did it run you?

I'm trying to get orders to Fort Worth when I return from my future overseas deployment.

Congrads again!!!!

We went to a ranch which was called Stone ledge Lodge. Tim Herald set us up with this outfitter. They are located in Junction, Texas, which is about a 134 mile drive NW of San Antonio. Cost for this hunt was $750.00 per man plus $100.00 Non-Resident hunting license. Then tack on your plane fare and car rental on top of that. The lodge was a 5 Star set-up, but the bird population was lacking compared to some of the other ranches from what I've been reading on some forums. I was glad to get a bird though!!
