I have a 1992 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 I bought it off a friend in 1995 to use for Ice fishing on lake Erie .I never got to use it either working or no ice I run it around the block once a month .I am going to get a 4 WD to leave in the UP with a plow and use as a work vehicle. I will probably buy it up there I know I will pay a little extra but for service and other things it seems to work better or at least it has in the past

Not to be mean, but either way your not gonna get much out of it, if you trade it in you might get 4-6 hundred....

If that is the case I will give it to good will and take the tax write off which I did with my last truck

Roger

I have traded in used atv's before. How much of a hit you take on it depends. I traded in my last quad in and got a fairly good price for it. But it was only two years old and still had factory extended warranty for it. For the most part, most of the dealers probably won't even take that old of a quad in on trade. They usually will only take them in if they are just a few years old. You should be able to sell it outright. I see you are from Maumee. I have had good luck selling atv's in the Blade. I traded the quad in there at Honda East there in Maumee.

As for value, you can try www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com) (Kelley's Blue Book) and you can also do some searches in Cycle trader online and try to find a value. You will probably get less than $1,000 for it.

I sold my 96 Timberwolf 250 2x4 about 3 years ago for $ 1500. I positoned it in my front yard for sale and someone stopped by and bought it. The bike had a title with it as well.

They just offered me $1400 trade in on a new one the difference between trade in and cash no trade in is $200 so I guess they are giving me $1200 for it .plus they want it now I think they have it sold. I am going to look at a gift to Goodwill and see what the tax benefit is.

$1,200 is a pretty good price for trade in on that old of a quad. Remember with a donation for goodwill, you only get the tax deduction for the value that they get when they sell it, most likely at auction.

Thinking about taking Ole Yeller out this weekend, I might go put his meats back on and see if I can find at least one mud hole in this State. I hope I can make Merango...I need some humidity/stagnant water and flooded swamps to play in.:mischeif:

Actually, I'm sitting here in Dayton watching it rain and wanting to go out and play. Ole Yeller didn't get much use this year as it does down South.

I cant fathom how Civil Service could suck being a GS13, LOL!!!!

Its fun for me, I keep my Military time and it keeps me working with the Military, so all in all I enjoy it, plus my wife is USAF and I work right down the street from here....I like that.
