Nascar is starting tomorrow!:D Yep Ben and I are big Nascar fans, so thought I would ask who else is a fan and who is your favorite Driver?

I might get heat for this one, but my favorite is Tony Stewart #20....Go Tony! And Ben's is Dale Jr. #8.

So who is your favorite?

Any plans for the Daytona 500? We are having a few friends over to watch it on the big screen.

Tony Stewart is one of the most talented drivers in Nascar today and donates millions of $$$$ to charitys and helps retired and down and out drivers with $$$$ also...You must have meant he sucks in a good way.:coco:

Other than being friend with Dale Earnardt......he really does suck...a pacifier, he's just as big a baby as Gordon when things dont go his way and that goes for Martin as well. :mischeif: Oh, Stewart doesnt drive a Toyota.....yet.

Well I'm not a Tony fan by any means and was always a JR. fan...until i met him and took a ride with him before a bristol race....30 minutes with him and a fan no more...he forgot who he is and what made him who he is...the fans. His Daddy wouldn't be proud. Call Tony what you want but with 2 championships and numerous win every year i doubt he really cares about your opinion of him. Not sure how anyone could bad mouth Mark Martin...Most respected driver in Nascar. I guess you judge their character by their brand of race car huh...

Geesh Guys, I didn't mean to start a battle. I just wanted to know who your favorites were not who you hate. But hey say what you will about Tony, I get it from Ben all the time too, so doesn't bother me at all. I like him, and have since he started, so not gonna change my mind now.:cheeky-smiley-022:

I lost a lot of respect for M. Martin jumping ship with Ford and Roush. Where's the loyalty? The guy has 1 maybe 2 years left on the circuit. C'mon?!

That said, I'm a Greg Biffle fan.

Having lived in NC for many years and working for FedEx, I got to deliver to several drivers homes and race shops. They are all pretty decent people. I had Jimmy Johnson, Joe Nemechek, John Andretti, Ron Hornaday,Kurt & Kyle Busch on my route as well as several crew chiefs...to include Kyle's and Nemecheck's. DEI was my first delivery every morning and I would pick up there in the afternoon. Delivered to MB2, Yates and many Busch and Truck shops.

John Andretti would come to the door and talk and was always pleasant. Delivered to Mayfield's house once and he came to the door, stepped outside and asked me how my day was going. Johnson's wife Chandra and Nemechek's wife, Andrea were extremely nice. The Busch brothers mom insisted on giving me a glass of water when I delivered to her house...very nice lady.

My favorite drivers are Denny Hamlin (staying loyal to FedEx Express), Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman. I guy I worked with at FedEx in Concord, NC is the Front Tire Carrier for Newman's pit crew...Scott Reineger.

Looking forward to this season and would love to see Hamlin or Newman win their first championship.

Jeff Gordon = :gaga:

Well, since Rusty Wallace retired I looked around to find a rookie last year as I didn't want to jump on any bandwagons and so I chose Martin Truex Jr. He hasn't accomplished much, but he is a talented driver, drives a Chevy and has an Outdoors company for a sponsor(Bass Pro) so he works for me.

I will say that Tony Stewart is a talented driver, but I hate him because he is the most selfish and impatient driver I have ever seen. If I see Stewart wreck a guy on lap # 21 to move from 14th to 13th place one more time and then him not get penalized I may just give it up altogether.

Also, I know a lot of older traditionalist fans don't like the way Nascar has changed so much in the last couple years. I would guess it's only a matter of time before they ruin the whole thing by putting Daytona at the end of the season!?!?!?!?

He was very loyal to Roush. He just got tired of being used up and wanted to do something different. I'm sure he and Jack are still friends.

I am a Mark Martin fan. I wish him well in his new ride. I'm not a Chevy fan but I guess in a way I am this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he does well early in the season to run a full year and compete for that coveted CUP he has been oh so close to but never won.

I like Tony Stewart although he can be tempermental ;) He's an Indiana boy with ties to Ohio now since he bought Eldora. Ole Smoke really is a nice guy and a good racer.

Something in me wants to root for a Petty team to step up and be competitive. Long live the King.

Just hacking on you man......I dont watch it....really, I was just seeing how quick this could get out off hand. Sorry OD didnt mean to jack up your thread, I just didnt think anyone was that loyal. I guess I should have taken a hint by the Ohio Buckeye post on this forum, lol. I'm a motorcycle man, I like Moto GP, AMA Superbike/Sport and WSBK. Oh, I put in Martin because of 45/Geezer/and Mully. I guess if I have to pull for someone it would be anyone in a Toyota....so yeah I like the better looking cars.

Sorry about that halliday...I'll avoid any future post.
