Hey believe it or not the fishing is pretty good in the Persian Gulf.

I always bring my fishing pole when I deploy on an aircraft carrier.

Either way, it is pretty cool that he was able to get a line in the water while being shot at.... :)

i used to troll( heh heh)off the fantail of a oiler i was on...caught a big ole tarpin in cuba an we landed that sucker with a cargo net

Last cruise I was trying to catch a king mackeral off the pier the ship was docked too.

During the first Gulf War I was fishing in a boat off the coast of Bahrain I hooked into a huge permit. He broke the line about two feet from the side of the boat.

You can also catch sail fish too, but you have to rent a boat for that.
