My wife and I are looking for between 15-50 acres for recreational use, preferably in the following counties; Ross, Highland, Adams, but will not rule out other counties. Availability to owner finance is highly preferred. We are not looking for property that necessarily can be built on, as we do not intend to live there, but utilize it primarily for hunting/camping, etc.

Get a copy of the Farm and Dairy, and go to an auction.

My company's website, www.RurRet.com, has properties to choose from in Pike, Scioto, Ross and Highland Counties in Southern Ohio and in Putnam County, West Virginia.
Most of our properties offer plenty of road frontage and access to the utilities (electric, telephone and county water) needed for a cabin, a permanent residence or a camper hook-up. All of the properties have suitable building sites that are not in flood zones. If you want 5, 20, or more acres, we can split it off from most of our larger parcels at a fair price, customizing the lot size, location and topography to your specifications.
Below are some examples of our current offerings (which are also listed on our webpage, www.RurRet.com):
We have 5+/- acre parcels for $15,000 (Rarden Hazelbaker - NW Scioto County), a 25+/- acre parcel for $99,900 (Upper Twin - SW Ross County) and a 41+/- acre parcel for $97,500 (Pike SF/Perdue Hollow - W Pike County - 20 acres from $55,900). We also have a 120+/- acre parcel for $420,000 (Clear Creek Farm - Highland County), a 210+/- acre parcel for $225,000 (Fraziers Bottom - WV - 100+/- acres with a rustic cabin from $125,000), a 200+/- acre parcel for $250,000 (Carrs Run - E Pike County - 50 acres from $65,900, 100 acres from $109,900) and a 225+/- acre parcel for $325,000 (Pike SF/Green Ridge - W Pike County - 31+/- acres for $50,000). We have a couple 1.7+/- acre lots with water and electric available at the road for $15,000 that are in Western Pike County within a couple of miles of thousands of acres of Pike State Forest lands. We also now have available approximately 275 acres in Eastern Highland County along a year-round running branch of Brush Creek and bordering state forest lands (with lots from 2.5 acres starting at $24,900, acreage over 20 acres from $3,000/acre -check out http://www.rurret.com/swohio/forthillhighlandco.html for more info) at Fort Hill State Monument and will soon have available a 5 acre lot surrounded by Pike State Forest near Pike Lake State Park and about 65 acres in Western Pike County adjacent to paper company lands. Please explore our website for other available properties and more properties that will become available in the future.
We can also construct a log home, cabin, lodge or storage building on any of our properties to enhance your ability to enjoy the property. Please check out http://www.rurret.com/loghomes.html for more info on our cabins.
