I picked this off of the Akron-Canton Muskies, Inc. board. It was posted by their president, Guy:

"It was brought to our attention at the OHMC banquet meeting that the watercraft people will be enlarging the ski zones at SF by setting marker bouys further back into cabin bay. The other areas I'm told will include bouys set back into the stone house bay to the pump station or further and the bay off to the left accross from Sugar Tree marina. As you know these are some fairly narrow waters with sharp points coming out.Safety is obviously a concern for boats and jet skis coming in and going out around these blind spots at high rates of speed. There also some pretty good fishing spots in these areas for casting and trolling.I would say there will be some pretty good boat wakes running through these narrowss as well. B. Marshall brought up a good point that the narrows here could be a constant mud hole from heavy traffic on the weekends. And for me in particular, I fish out of a 15 ft boat and don't want to deal with anymore ski traffic than I have to.Some people have already called the park office and watercraft and I'm hoping if they get enough contacts from fisherman they might reconsider this move before the ski season starts.

Anyone wishing to voice a concern over the SF ski zones being enlarged can email the Division of Watercraft at www.dnr.state.oh.us/watercraft "
