Can anyone suggest some good walleye fishing lakes in the northeast? My boat isn't big enough for erie, but I was thinking of places like Berlin, West Branch, Portage lakes, that whole area. Also, I know Ladue is good for bass, but are there any walleye there? Looking to hopefully go this spring.

Thanks!

Berlin seems to be good as do West Branch , Milton and Mosquito.

The fall is a great time at Berlin and also great in spring.

Cool, thanks!

Anyone know about Ladue? ODNR website says the stock Walleye there, it is real close to my fiancee's house. Just wondering if anyone has been there.

deer hunter matt, i,ve fished in the past at la due there are eyes in there, some nice size ones to, the ramps suck all gravel and usually all rutted up from spinning tires, and there are a ton of white perch in there now someone dumped some in years ago,so you catch a bunch before you get a eye, plus being a electric only lake it takes forever to go back on a drift..

Is that usually how you fish em, by drifting? The boat I would use is pretty small, it's carriable, doesn't come on a trailer, so the ramp won't be an issue. Where do the usually hang out, between the dam and 422? Worms, minners, what works best? There is a small bait shop around the corner, so I might aske them too. Thanks for the tips.

the bait store on 44 is a good place for bait and info, live bait works there but the white perch will clean you out fast,so trolling is a good way but you still have the wp still hitting your lures, some are a good size like in the 10-13 inch size, they break up the day but when you want eyes the wp get to be a pain.

I live 10 minutes from LaDue. It's a good walleye lake. You have to know how to fish it. I've fished WRWA tournaments for 8 years. Mosquito is the best in land lake I've ever fished. Email me and I tell ya what I know. JJTG70@yahoo.com

Best I have found is Mosqueto, Milton and berlin...walborn has some, but the state will not be restocking there anymore, the survival rate is not very good.......
drift fishing when the wind is right is excellent at mosqueto, vertical jigging works well.....slow trolling on cloudy days are a favorite way...
