Don't it just figure. I thouught I was going to get to sneak out in the rain today for an hour and at the last minute I had to deliver some flies to a guy so by the time I made it to the river it was too late to fish, there was only one guy there and he was NAILING them! All I could do was watch for a few minutes. Now this same rain that would have given me a nice quiet day on the river is going to blow everything out for my Sunday morning too! :( It's going to take some real luck to find fishable water for Sunday unless I go to PA.
Ok I'm done whining now...

Ok Late post but here goes, Thursday I was positioned in a stream with a medium steehead hooked on a new fly that i tied. Water was a little high, good color, but fishable. I had a turkey call in my mouth and was calling, and what to my supprise, I proceeded to call 2 turkeys off the hill down to streamside, while I still had the steelhead hooked. Needless to saw both the turkey and the fish will be there another day. But what a memory! I think I'll try that again next week! My wife thinks I should take my gun with me. I told her that I'll need to wait a few weeks for that. I think I'll tell the boss that I was outdoor multi-tasking to see if can get more time off. Well till next time enjoy the outdoors, spring woods are the best!

That's pretty cool! I don't get to fish the streams further east all that often and miss the more rural fishing experiences like that.
Well two of us got out fishing some tribs. We checked almost all of them out with the exception of one that when we pulled in had at LEAST 15 cars there. It's usually the first to clear but that many people on that little stream is too nuts for me so we went back to one of the ones we checked first. It started out with about 10" of visability and very cold. By 2:00 when we had to leave it was getting pretty nice and the sun came out. Too bad we didn't start out with that clarity! We ended up with my cousin catching 1 steelhead around 8lbs on a prince nymph and we caught three suckers.
Hey at least I finally got out again!
