 At my place the bucks are there, and active, just at nite. Fresh scrapes, tons of rubs, 120 class sheds, etc. I just cant seem to ever spot one during hunting light. I have seen plenty of does durng shootin lite, never any bucks. i have only seen buks at night in the headlights. I am frustrated beyond belief about getting a shot a t a antlered buck. Anyone else have a similar problem? ANy suggestions? Im sure if i walked the entire place i could jump one, but whats the point in that.:irked:

You gotta get out and scout! Find out where Mr. Buck is sleeping and eating. But careful not to touch and scrapes or leave scent around.. Once you find out where you have to find a favorable position(wind in your face) to set up your ambush. I don't know that I would recommend scouting during season though. May inadvertantly cross another hunter:tsk: . Good luck.

I feel your pain! I used to have a spot in summit cty that they would see a deer that looked like a reindeer about 1once a week right at dusk. I spent a lot of time there and never saw anything but does. The few times I was able to track him he was just passing through as the land was on a corner. :cheeky-smiley-022:

If they are truely nocturnal you might try some 2 man drives if you have a buddy you're willing to share your hunting with.
