I use 24hour 2 part automotive grade epoxy from Napa and never had a problem. I am assuming carbons.
Its my experience nothing on the market yet works as good as 24 hour 2 part. Guys will say to use fast set glues but they just don’t hold up in the long run.
1.I clean shaft, and insert with 100% Isopropyl alcohol and cotton swab.
2. Apply glue and press fit. let dry for 24hours.

All my inserts need to be pressed fit tightly and glued on my Carbon Express,
I think sanding and removing stock on inside of your shaft could be a problem.
Also some cleaning products leave oily residue and hurt bonding.

Hope I could help

I'm assuming your using carbon arrows? I'm still a faithful aluminum shooter, so I won't be much help, but have you tried soaping your arrows to help in pulling them? Are you cleaning the inserts also? Sometime they have contaminates on them. Did this happen at a shoot today? Frozen targets sure are tough on carbon shooters. I can't think of anything stronger than two part epoxy.

Looks like Aimrite and I were typing at the same time. He brings up a good point with the 100% alcohol. The normal 70% alcohol can leave an oily residue as he mentioned.

This is what I use for carbons. I too have epoxy pull out-this stuff works much better.

Just out of curiosity, are you using Bemans? If so I had the same problem. I just kept glueing them and they finally seemed to stay in after i reglued a couple more for the 3rd time.

I had this problem too when I started using carbons. I use some epoxy I bought at Lowe's(not sure of the brand, but it was the most expensive they had). The thing that helped me the most was using field points with a smaller diameter than my shafts. Since then I have yet to have a problem.
With broadheads, you just need to take some time and work them out of the target, or you will lose an insert more times than not.

I have not had the experience with using carbon arrows. I have tried using the fast set gel by AAE on aluminum and they are right on when they say FAST SET!!! I think I will try it on my carbon....... if I finally get them tomorrow so I will let you know how it works

I've had good luck with Powerbond, you can buy it out of Cabelas. Don't forget to make sure the the inside of the shaft if clean, I always clean it with 91% alcohol then use a .284 bore brush to ruff up the inside then put in the powerbond. Never had one come out. Used it on Gold Tips, ACCs, Carbon Evoloutions, and Carbon Express Terminators.
