First day shotgun numbers are in

Heres the breakdown for shotgun deer for the first day. Numbers are up overall and Tuscarawas county leading the pack. Monday 39,629 reported deer.

I think overall the forcast for the weekend is cool & dry so the hunters will be out in droves and the harvest should be very good for this week. Who knows what the bonus weekend will bring, but I am thinking Ohio will set a new overall harvest record this year!

Our family group of 14 hunters have been doing great this year. We bagged 8 bucks with the bow and 3 does with the bow. So far in gun season 4 bucks have been taken. Only 2 of our group has buck tags left.
