i know this is not major trapping but it sure is varmint hunting. Any one have a good way to get the little underground varmints? They are making my yard look like it has been plowed! I do not have grubs and have tried many commercial items to trap or drive them away but no real success. maybe someone has a good solution, PLease!

I really can't help much except don't waste your money on grub control. A mole's main food is earth worms. I have the same problem. I'll stamp on the mound or tunnels every chace I get. Maybe squash one of them buggers.

Had one earlier this month. I'm retired so have plenty of time..
First thing you need to do is look for fresh loose dirt on the tunnel.
Next, watch it for a few to see if you see any movement.
Make sure you have two garden trowels handy.
No movement, grab a brewskie a chair and take up watch. It may take a half to full case to see that bugger movin' but if he don't you still had a good time. I got mine in two beers time. When he moved I jammed the trowels in the tunnel, one from each side, and flipped him out on the ground. Bam! had him
Hung him on one of my special mole lanyards......

here's a way to make your own fertilizer....stomp on the tunnels of the moles...sit down and watch the tunels you just stamped down, and if you see any movement, take a knife ( 4-6 inch will do ) and jam it down on the ground, above where you saw the movement. You'll kill the little varmit and make fertilizer at the same time! ( by the way, you know you got him when your knife comes out dirty and bloody )
