Hello, I live up in Michigan, and was considering a trip sometime in the future down to Ohio to find some large sized channels or flatheads. I am not familiar with good fishing locations down in Ohio, but could anyone give me a few pointers on catfish locations that are either good for numbers and/or size? I hear the Ohio River is good, where would I go there? Also, is there anyplace closer?

First off the Ohio River is divided into pools, the best fishing usually occurs in the tail waters but it just depends on what your fishing for. White bass, smallmouth, sauger, saugeye, walleye, stripers and catfish are abundant in most tailwaters. I would say that the Huntington District covers the most pools on the Ohio River. http://www.lrh.usace.army.mil/ You can download printable maps from their website of each pool. You can also navigate to other districts from that link I hope it helps. :)
