George the silver one was probably a 6500 c-3, and the blue one a 6500 c-4, great all around catfish reels for both channels and flatheads

George dont trust those synergy reels, I got one for my son last year and the drag is terrible it stuck all the time, and he lost a big fish because of it.

just thought it would be easier to use an now they have clicks butt i will prolly end up getting that ambassedor with click at galyans stead of wastin any more money...the pole will still werk ok with the amb.

I only buy and use reels from two companies-Abu Garcia and Penn. I have never had a failure, used both in fresh and salt water. Throw some Berkley Big Game on 'em, and your in business.

Well my mighty Quantum WalMart special salt water reel finnally kicked the bucket this weekend...:)

It's not surprising though. After eight years of faithful service she was sooner or later bound to freeze up. I guess the salt water finnally did her in....:)

Why am I happy about this?????

Because it's an excuse to get me a new Penn spinning reel!!!!!:)

Funny,,,,, Fathers day is Sunday too...:) :)
