Try the 125 grain B52's. It will bust through cinder blocks.

This past season I shot Wensel Woodsmans and Zwickeys. Killed a doe with the Zwickey on the end of an ash arrow that I made. Have no complaints about those heads. Shot a squirrel with the WW. Those were an easy head to tune. This year I am going to be using the 125 grain WW with a 125 grain steel insert on the end of a Carbonwood arrow. I wouldnt mind getting some different broadheads to try but dont want to spend the money for the 6 packs. Anybody up for a broadhead swap?

i will probably be giving the wensels a test soon...i've used a lot and always seem to end up back with what i used in 1964

Better be careful george giving away your age here:D

I think i will give the old thunder heads a try this year and see how they perform

even though i dont use coneheads or trocar tips anymore the 125 thunderhead is one of the best i've used...when i did my part well it always resulted with pass thrus with the 125 3 bld. thunderhead...i rate it more accurate then my 2 blds and easier to tune but not quite as good a penetrater as the 2blades or cut on impact...it takes much more pressure to run them thru your hand...

Steve nice looking blade,Do you shoot these out of a compund or trad. equipment,If out of compound how is the tuning,do you get much planing from this broadhead.Might look into then they look good,How is the performance end results

Steve.....Looks like a good head, very similar to the two blade Snuffers I am now using. I like the new idea of machined heads as others have to be glued and spun tested repeatedly to get em straight. Expense is one drawback for most archers, but if they are consistent in flight and killing efficency they're worth every penny! The two blade Snuffers are now discontinued and getting hard to find. I was lucky to find a six pack at Buckeye Outdoors and they have a few left if anyone is looking looking for them! May have to look at the B-52's in the future.....TF

125 gr. thunderheads have never failed me. However, I must say they are very hard to tune with my current set up. They fly nothing like my field points. I like them though.

Sounds like your you need to paper tune your bow. Maybe it's a bit off. I have never had a problem with tuning thunderheads. Just get the bow shooting bullet holes though paper and throw on a thunderhead and there you go. Hitting in a group the first shot out. But this is what I have seen with my bow.

I have sold alot of Steelforce 100gr and have gotten very good feedback on penatration and arrow flight.I'm going to try some myself this fall.

mike might not be the broadhead , could be the arrow have you tried an offset or helical vane or fletch. With broadheads too it's better to be slightly over spined that slightly under spined.

Ive used 100 grain spitfires with excellent resuts. Now Im using 4 blade muzzy 100 grain. These heads have 1" diameter but actualy have more cutting surface than 125 grain 3 blade muzzy.
I shoot 28" Carbon Express with weight tubes 4" feathers fletched left helical.
They fly beautiful with this setup for me.

one thing i have learned using trad. equip...cut on impact definately is the best penetrater...not saying they are the best overall head but they lead in this category

I've had great success with 100 grain 3 blade Muzzies.

I'm going to try using expandables on turkeys this year. I just bought a pack of Rocket 90 grain Slammerheads off of ebay.com.

They have performed above and beyond the call of duty for me. Hey C.D., you need some 125 muzzy heads let me know I only have about 3dz. here at the house that never get used.

Hay spitfire thanks for the offer, will have to take you up on your offer if i decide to go this route this year,I can never make up my mind untill sept. thenit to late and i usually just pull out the old spitfire and screw it back on but i'm wanting to go back to fixed blades again though.

Spitfire

Why are you wanting to go back to fixed blade? Those expandables have worked pretty good for you I thought.

Caribou Dreamer2

Yes they have worked great but just a change i guess,Those spitfires have killed alot of deer in the past for me but would just like a change, but you know me i will show up on opening morning with those spitfire in the quiver as usual more than likely, but if i can find some time this summer i like to shoot some fixed blades again and get them tuned in real good then i willstick with the fixed blade,Not changing for any bad reasons spitfires are a good head

Heard that! They put a hurtin on those deer. They have yet to fail for me but w/ all that kinetic energy they don't have a choice but to open.

Great point george. I have killed deer with a field point before. It's in all things coming together at the time of truth. If you don't practice ,no matter what bow, arrow, or broadhead you use won't do the job.
