Yep, I'm there with ya! It was a great evening last night watching the sun set and hunting one of his creatures. Even though I didn't shoot one I learned some things last night and passed up a small 4pt buck.

Good call. Give thanks where thanks is due. I always try to spend at least a little time when I'm out in the woods meditating about the greatness of the creations that I get to enjoy and also what I think God would like me to do better. Most days I walk away uplifted, even when I don't bag anything. There are some great hunters mentioned in the scriptures.

Amen.
How blessed we are just to live in this great country where we are free to pursue the path of our individual choosing.

bowhunting is truley a spirtitual cleansing for me. Besides dove and upland birds, I always say a prayer for the game I kill and make an offering back to them. Its kind of a sacred tradition for me. I am uplifted so much those long hours in the field and woods and its such a wonderful feeling.
I always tell people that when I see a beautiful sunset, or a deer walking into my setup, that there is no drug in this world that could make me higher.
I thank God everyday for life. He gave this all to us. Amen.

TRAPHuNTER you said it all right there. When i get home from being on stand all day even when i don t see anything.I always look back and try to remeber what i thought about allday and every time i am clueless. So yes to me it is just as enjoyable being out there in gods country and being able to do what i love, besides being a husband and grandfather,,,,So if the day ever comes and I don t feel sad for the i deer have killed I will stop hunting ....As they are gods creatures....

I guess I will be the echo here.
I love bowhunting so much because of what is does to my soul. I spend my time in the stand clearing my head, enjoying what a great blessing it is to be in the woods, and talking to God.
I am a newly saved man, and I did it sitting in a treestand one day. I finally realized how blessed I was, and that it was coincidence. So I made my peace. I would have never come to the wonderful conclusion without the aid of the woods and bowhunting.

Amen bowhunter. Good for you.
Yep, Sunday morning is the only time you won't find me in the woods because I'm in church giving God all the glory he deserves. Playing my guitar in church for Him rates above the hunting!!
