Big Buck siting and my day.

I saw the biggest buck I've seen on our farm this year, it was around 12:30 in the afternoon. I was riding the trails around on the four wheeler just killin some time looking for fresh scrapes/rubs and heavy trails. I was going real slow and looked to my left in thicker stuff and not even 12 feet from me was a huge buck bedded down looking directly at me! The body was huge and a very nice rack. That thing didn't move one bit. I was amazed at what I saw and just sorta kept going because I was still in disbelieve sorta. I went back to the truck, put my hunting clothes back on, walked down to where I saw it very quietly and of course it was gone!

That got my heart pumping!

Aside of that I hunted today in the morning, got there about 1/2 hour too late and was walking in at 7am., spooked some deer on the way to my stand.

Got to my stand, saw one doe, then about 1 hour later 3 came out of the thicket from the fields, I pulled up , took the shot and I knew it was gonna be a tough shot at 26 yds(rangefinder afterwards). I stuck the darn tree that was directly in front of the deer! Ugh, even ruined my broadhead.

Tonight I sat in the orchard, had one 4 point buck come directly out of the field and into the orchard underneath my stand. I could have had a shot at it easily, it stood around 10 minutes or so and munched on some apples. I saw probably 7 or so others out in the fields.

Deer 1 , Bill zero.

I'll be out some this week with any luck.

sunday evening , i sat near a big white oak . at 5:15 had 4 does come in , watched them for a while , then in came 3 bucks and one lil doe , two bucks were 6 points with lil, lil racks , and the other one was probably at least 140 /10 point . i sat there for an hour and a half , watching these deer , but if i tried to move one was looking at me . stomping its foot , then the big buck would watch the other one stomping , till it settled down . never got to shoot , . i bought some new cammo last year , the kind with the leaves on it , dad gum , that stuff works , most deer never look up at you with this stuff on , but last night i wasa hunting a field edge and wasnt that high in a tree , the deer came in just the way i didnt expect them to do .. hoot
