well everyone as mark said we are going to move the shoot back 1 week .the buckeye classic will be on june 7th with a 7am start time and end on june 8th with the time to be yet determined but prob around 3ish. it will be taking place at the american sportsman on rt 82 10 miles west of strongsville in columbia station. we realize this is quite a bit farther than last years shoot for some people, but the accomodations are much larger than we had last year .the owner also is very excited about this and a warm welcome is always a plus. this will make some peoples rides a little further but it is close to the turnpike and rt 90 so access for everyone should be even better overall.we had some teams from penn last year and new york and feel we might be able to draw more teams from that area with this location.we have also secured sponsoring from SULLYS BOWFISHING STUFF .he was a very generous donor last year and we are working on a few others right now. this site will also put people closer to lake erie where most of the top teams took their fish from last year. if anyone wants any info on spots to go on lake erie feel free to contact mark (whit-1) or myself(ohioguy aka hitler!) and we will be happy to share what we know of lake erie with anyone interested in shooting there. alot of lake erie is shootable on foot just so you do not think you need a large boat for this. there are also some changes in the team entry. we are not going to limit anyone to 1 or 2 man teams.however if you want to shoot by your self the entry is only 25 dollars.which also means if you want 3 people on your team or in your boat the entry will be 75 dollars.the long and the short of it is 25 dollars per man for pre registering and 35 dollars per man the day of the shoot. this will help out some guys who maybe do not have a partner and also some guys who want to shoot 3 or four maybe even 5 guys in their boat??? as long as every shooter on your team is entered go for it. we had 19 teams last year and expect an even better turnout . any questions direct to mark --- onefisherking@aol.com or tracy ---- tharper2@neo.rr.com

no one was left out of a loop clarence.last year it seemed like the place we had it the people were not real enthused about it?! well last year at this time we already had flyers out and as of today mark and i got tired of waiting around for someone to step up .you are not left out of anything , i have got sully mailing out flyers like he did last year and we needed a site so we could get on with this.last year sully mailed out 300 plus flyers at his expense for us.they went out to any one who had ordered from him in a 200 mile radius of the tourney.there will be ,like always plenty of stuff to do to make this a successful shoot. we just could not afford to sit around too much longer and wonder where we are going to have it .i just know we were not going to have it in the same place as last year. he barely had enough room for 19 tems with boats. this place can hold 10 times that many. if you want call mark or me and we will start coordinating this??? let me know

yes there is a spot that comes to mind that a 14 ft boat would be just fine. try erie marsh ,the water is a little dingy but there are plenty of big fish there. shooting 20 to 30 pound fish would not be a problem that time of the year. the area is huge and is protected by alot of breakwalls ,you would be able to fish for days out of your boat and not even get out onto the lake.for any one who is boatless the area around 72nd street near cleveland whoch will only be about 1/2 hour from the tourney site is loaded with fish. this area as almost all areas of lake erie can be walked.you can walk the breakwalls for miles and shoot lots of fish.this is the area that whit one and i have been shooting fish all winter and we even leave the boat at home in summer and choose walking the wall over the hassle of loading and unloading a boat. this area also has alot of good sized sheepshead which would be good for your other 10 fish?????? the team that came in second last year shot this area and it should not be overlooked. the area all though i am going on a buddy report on this one.......around avon has some good fishing .he got a 40 pound grass carp out of this area a few years back and sees alot of grass carp in this area . and finally one other area that a small boat would do well is presque isle on the pa ohio border. with the tourney site being easily accessed from route 90 this would not be a far drive and if you look on a map you will see why it is good? my buddy would take his canoe out there so a 14 ft jon would not be a problem?? hope this helps \you and maybe anyone else??? tracy

I think that the best way for you to come from Lima would be to take 30 east to 71 north to SR. 82 and go west..
As far as were to shoot, There is a long breakwall right in the Cleveland area..To access it you can lauch your boat at Gordon Park.It is located right at the 72nd street off ramp on Interstate 90.There are alot of places right in this area to see fish..Sandusky Bay is another place that has a lot of fish. If you want you can email me direct and I'll give you my phone # and I can explain it a little better for you...onefisherking@aol.com

MUZZY HAS JUMPED IN AS A SPONSOR. now with sullys mudshark and some local sponsors we are on our way to a great shoot. i would like to remind everyone who shot last years tourney........ that every team that turned in fish last year got a prize. hopefully with the way te sponsorship is going the same will hold true this year. lets keep this post fresh on this board and get this thig going . tharper2@neo.rr.com or onefisherking@aol.com

If you enjoy going out to just shoot fish on the weekend you will LOVE the added challenge of competing against other bowfishermen. As Tracy said we are in the process of secureing sponsoship from some of the major names in the bowfishing world.Once again with the help of these sponcers NO ONE should go away empty handed..For those of you who are resupplying your bowfishing equipment please be sure to let these sponcers know that we appriciate there generous donations..

For those of you who are interested in shooting the tournament there is a printable version of the rules and the flyer over at www.mudsharkarchery.com. Just look at the top of the page and click on the link that says Club Stuff.Find the Buckeye Classic and click on it and then go to the auto responder and it will have you send a blank email and in a few minutes you will have all the information you will need..Just a reminder that you will be released from the tournament site in the order in which your registration is received..

hey cd2 i for some reason am not getting your messages, but like mark said a copy of the flyer is over at mudshark and all you need to really do is send me your info along with any teammates info and 25 dollars a man and we are all set.if you or anyone needs some directions to the site email us and let us know. the one thing we left off of the flyer is that this is a team tournament. we just encourage anyone who can not get a partner to come shoot anyhow. and the 25 dollars a man was to help out someone who plans on shooting alone so they dont have to pay the full amount as a team?? if that makes sense . and if you want to shoot with three or four on your team go for it as long as all are registered amongst your team. so don`t worry about getting ahold of me cd2 just send all of your info to me at 720 newport lane suite 103 streetsboro ohio 44241 thank you tracy
