Not a trophy hunter - but wouldn't shoot a button up here in Ohio - had two nice bucks feed on the clover in my back field last night - :D :whistle: :mischeif:

I would say it have to be at least a 8pt and older then 3. I have a good opportunity to take a good number of doe's this year so I think the one buck will have to be quality.

Doesn't matter to me,I don't trophy hunt. I hunt for the freezer.

I shot my first buck last season and it was only a three point buck. If it has a desent, good looking rack on his head I will not be picky and I will shoot him.:biggrin:

My trophy is the smell and sizzle of venison steak on the grill, or venison roast in the oven. For me, if it's brown, it's down.

I'm under a lot of pressure: My kids have been on me the last couple weeks to bring home a deer. They love venison.

I voted this because I don't want to shoot Button Buck's, but I would take a smaller in size Buck. I also hunt for my or someone elses freezer! :biggrin:

But, I am always looking for a trophy!

I'm not real picky about the rack. However having to yet kill a buck, I do want one. I have passed on spikes and younger , smaller ones.

140+ for me. I like to hunt and most years am able to put enough meat in the freezer in the form of does. I save my Ohio buck tag until the bitter end or until a good one comes along, which they will if you wait long enough. For the first day, he would need to be something really special to get my tag. Later in the year, after I am tired of hunting and needing to get caught up on the things I tend to put off, 130 and up works for me.

I doe hunt for meat. My buck tag is saved for the big ones. This year I have two woods that contian some pretty big deer so I am going to hold out for the big boy. One of the woods I have a picture of a buck that goes at least 130 and its not a great picture but good enough to tell. I also found a shed from another deer last spring that has some serious potential. As far as the does go the young the better.

Aint got a buck befor in my life, so ill take a spike. Next year ill shoot 100 or higher.;)

130 is the absoulte minimum and thats only if its a perfect one like i like, i know the area great and the size of bucks, over the summer i saw many 150-160 and atleast one 180.....

I don't hunt for meat,it goes to Hunters For The Hungry,it will take at least 140 before I will shoot.If my family would eat the meat it would be anything that has a white tail and is breathing!!
